 | News Comment | Royle Looking Forward to Return to Portman Road at 14:12:27
Maybe it was just because I was in my early 20's and a bit wild but seeing us under Joe Royale was always so much fun. Even when I went away disappointed it was because they'd scored 4 and we'd only got 3 as opposed to some of the cack served up since. |
 | News Comment | Bart: Manner of Derby Drop Disrespectful at 19:00:17
Didn't someone say that Doig gave him a load of jip about not meriting his Poland cap? And given it was his dad's dying wish for him to get the call-up, it all kicked off? |
 | News Comment | Hurst Undecided Whether to Include Waghorn With Bids Still on Table at 14:01:03
I've got a contrarian view to most. If MM was still here and this situation was ongoing, I'd say play him as the style wouldn't differ no matter what the wheeling and dealing in the transfer market would be. As its Hurst and he's a new manager, I say protect the golden goose as I'm quite keen to see the results of his remodelling of the squad (and hopefully playing style). |
 | News Comment | Town Again Linked With Accrington Striker at 13:22:48
When speaking about football, people tend to forget that with almost any other job in the whole world, you have to start at the bottom and work your way to the top. You don't drop out of the womb a CEO. Why then does everyone assume that having players coming from a lower division must automatically make us whack? I'd far rather have players on an ascendancy who are happy to be improving their careers as opposed to a load of duffers. |
 | News Comment | Sunderland Confirm Ross Appointment at 14:12:15
Everyone loves a whinge! I get the feeling Jack Ross was using us as a stick to beat Sunderland with and whether that's the case or not, he was illegally back-channelling with them the whole time. Is it just me or does Stewart Donald come across as the kind of bloke you'd never get tired of punching?! |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Quoted Mind-Boggling Wages at 13:22:35
I read this article and all I think is we have - in Mick and Marcus - a couple of chaps who can't handle the fact that football has moved on. Whether we agree or think it's crude and offensive, the level of spending we exhibit along with the attitude and tactics of the manager is from a different age. Sadly I don't think Marcus is willing to pump in the required amount to be competitive and Mick has no other methods than those he uses, and constantly talks up, currently. |
