If we're honest Tommy Smith cost us games last season and we don't want him to start it again this season. Mick keeps playing him but I feel he isn't good enough for this side, he makes mistakes that lose us games and I hate two left footed central defenders when he partners Berra. I think he needs to be dropped and Chambo partner Berra with Emmanuel at right back and Parr when he is back.

Would everyone not now agree that regardless of who manages ITFC based on tonight it's the players who are not performing, and the players who are letting the club and fans down.
Name one player in this team that bleeds ITFC, there isn't one...!
Mick was a brave man, and I will make a prediction now, we will be relegated, and to be fair we deserve nothing less, for years and under 3 managers we have gone nowhere and now are a laughing stock.
Credit to Palace they are top of the league on a high and would always be good for tonight's win, but the nature of it is enough for me to prove that these players are not fit to pull on the shirt.

Also the team put together now is playing with a bit of heart and spirit because the midfield is filled with people who want to play for the club, these lads have turned our fortunes round. Drury and Hyam changed things because they have youth, pace and tenacity on their side and want to play, they kick started our run of fortune and the defence got their act together.
We started the season with Bullard and Bowyer and had the run we had.
I am disgusted only because we signed names and paid big money for them, at the end of their careers.
Keep the lower league players with something to prove coming in, thats what this club needs, not players chasing the dollar |

My point is this, Bullard took the mick out of the club, went on a night out disrespected everyone and is the highest earner at this club.
They keep banging on in these stories about him missing football, checking in for results, its utter rubbish. Bullard is in Vegas, and was stupid enough to have someone take a picture of him last night.
He must be really concerned about ITFC in Vegas
Nothing fickle about it - This man on the wages he earns should live and breathe this club and at the absolute minimum be on time for training.

Ipswich needs to become the shopping capital of the UK, have the best nightlife in the UK to get the wags interested - Ipswich has neither.

Over the years how many quality players have walked through our door or have even shown any interest of joining Town??
The links that keep being made with players is frankly quite boring because we never ever result in a signed on conclusion. We all get very excited by the players being touted but honestly when do we ever see them materialise?
Billy Sharp is another that sticks out for me, if we were really rating this guy and a decent player he is why did they not go all out for his signature. To now see him sign for Southampton for 1.8 Mil is beyond belief!!
There was nothing exciting about seeing Bullard, Bowyer & Co signing, what have they done for this club apart from feck all!! These 2 stick out as players who saw an opportunity to take a good few grand, they have no interest in playing for ITFC, Bullard has not even moved here.
We are in a sad downward spiral, and League 1 is definately where we will end up, i think it needs that to shake things up.
I for one would rather pay £50,000 for someone like Stevenson who is honoured and dazzled by coming to Ipswich, you watch that lad will have more hunger and desire than Bullard and Bowyer put together, what are they other than the forgotten men - Cue the next reports - Bullard still recovering from Flu - Bowyer to miss West Ham game - what a joke
And if Jordan Rhodes signs for Norwich and smashes it in the Prem I think i will consider being signed off work with stress...!!! |

Let's all just be honest with eachother for one minute, we are at rock bottom and it aint going to change, believe that.
I tell you now there is not a decent player in the country who will want to sign for this club after seeing that dross tonight.
Time for a reality check, we are not going to be challenging for the play off's, this season or seasons to come, so take off the rose tinted glasses and get used to losing, we are a sad sad team.
Everyone got excited by Jewell, but the hate will start shortly it always does at this club, the knives will come out, people believe we have a right to be challenging, we dont and the problem cant be fixed with money and new signings.
Clubs like Southampton, Peterborough have belief, they have winning mentalities and players who have something to prove, look at Paul Taylor, these are the kind of players our club needs to be buying, not dross like Ellington & Co, we really are in a bad bad way.
The only highlight for me was my decision not to renew season tickets, in the current economic climate, it was the best thing I have ever done.
Dont give me any crap about being a part time supporter etc etc etc, I have put up with poor football for too long now, I get more excitment paying to watch Hadleigh United in the Ridgeons league!!
This club is on a downward spiral, we are spineless, and have nothing, regardless of the 2 being sent off we were in for a beating today, and give credit to Peterborough their spirit and quality of play was too much.
I will wait for the cries for Jewell out, he needs years to rebuild our team, hope you all have a lot of patience, i think a taste of League 1 might be needed to get this club back on track. |
