| News Comment | McCarthy: Up to Us to Get Crowds Back to Portman Road at 12:29:42
The pricing at PR is outrageous, but having said that it is true in general for all English professional clubs, especially for Premiership and Championship clubs. I have personally turned to non-league football for my entertainment at £10.00 per match, with the added bonus of being able to consume whatever drink you want in sight of the field. Entertainment levels are very often much better than what I saw during my last league season at PR and the players at the club actually care about the club they are playing for! I know what I prefer. As an aside I also follow a team in Germany and the entrance ticket for a Bundesliga game at Borussia Moenchengladbach is as low as €15.00 with local travel to the game included!!! Wake up Ipswich!!!!!!! |

I'll stick to non-league football at £10.00 per game. More atmosphere and you can drink in the ground. What could be better. Come on Bury!!! |
| News Comment | Jewell: Short-Term Loans Weren't Part of Plan at 12:18:22
This is really becoming ridiculous. I have no idea why people still support this clown or his sidekick. There is no plan, never has been. Mr. Jewell is totally clueless and continues to waste more and more of Mr. Evans cash. Short term fixes are no good and any decent Manager would have built his squad in the summer and used loans for injury cover. Have we got any injuries? Don't think so. He needs to do himself a favour and resign, take Mr. Hutchings and the recent headline maker with him. This club is sinking fast and has sunk so low since the departure of Joe Royle. So, so sad.......... |
| News Comment | Clegg: Harry Speculation Laughable at 22:04:10
Clegg, your comments are laughable. Mr. Jewell is simply not up to the job, or indeed ever was. Current record at Ipswich speaks for itself; P 80 W 29 D 16 L 35 - Win Ratio 36.25% Roy Keane's record - P 81 W 28 D 25 L 28 Win Ratio 34.57% Crowds under Mr. Keane circa 21,000. Under Mr. Jewell currently 16,500. mmmm, only one thing to do Mr. Clegg...... |
| News Comment | Jewell: We're Nowhere Near Good Enough At the Moment at 13:36:24
You lot will all realise one day (and I hope it isn't too late) that Paul Jewell is not the manager to take our once great club forwards. He really does need to be given the heave-ho along with his sidekick. It is frightening to think about how much money has been wasted on poor, very poor signings. He does not have a clue on how to assemble a team strong enough to compete at the top of the division. Move on Paul, admit you are not good enough. A nice guy but..... |
| News Comment | Clegg Carrying Torch at 13:46:14
Does the flame have to go back to Olympia? If so I nominate........ |
| News Comment | Blackpool and Wednesday Enter Ward Chase at 13:54:22
Sam old, same old....... Clegg's too worried about Guam to fuss over signing a player or two. The club has very limited appeal at the moment and this will continue until new blood is brought into the management areas. They would be better buying and selling car spares. |
| News Comment | Chopra Off to California in Pre-Season at 13:51:40
He should deal with the problem himself. After all, he get's paid enough money. I'm sure my boss would send me away to California if I had similar problems. Players need to get a grasp of reality I'm afraid. Maybe they would like to do the Job Centre trip for 12 months after being made redundant. Also, people moan about the price of entrance fees to Portman Road, me included. Now you can see why they are so high. The price has seen me drift to non league football and I am so glad I made the change..... |
