Ipswich Town 0-1 Coventry City - Match Report
Improvement over the Fleetwood match....BUT ...we never looked like scoring. Best opportunity was a powder puff header from Nolan. Nobbynuts, our best player was Edwards. Same as the previous game the opposition defended a one goal lead without breaking sweat. Surely PL and coaches have some escape clauses for non performance in the 5 year deal.
Ipswich Town 0-1 Oxford United - Match Report
We played quite well first half but once again, never really looked like scoring. Unsure why we changed system instead of just freshening up a couple of positions. No defender in sight for their well worked goal.
Did anyone get a good look at the "stamp"?
Ipswich Town 4-1 Burton Albion - Match Report
Congrats where due. With appropriate formation and team selection changes from Lambert. We were looking cohesive and dangerous especially second half. Edwards playing as traditional right back made a positive difference.
Must admit am not used to seeing Murphy score against us!
Keep the faith everyone and take one game at a time. Looking forward to Oxford!
Sunderland 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
We dominated first half except no clear cut fire power or scoring opportunities. Second half Sunderland dominated and had scoring opportunities. Could have been 3-0.
On the back of Rotherham and Peterborough drubbings we are underperforming overall.
What's the plan Paul?
Well done our supporters who made the trip. Incredible!
Lambert: We Lost to the Better Team
Paul what are the lessons learnt? In the space of less than a week we were seriously out defended and attacked by Rotherham and Peterborough.
Lambert: Totally Deserved, We Dominated the Game
Well done Paul. You got right this week with a stable team. This is getting noticeable results with the defence and goalie as well as midfield and forwards.
I notice that Taylor spends much time with the fourth official. Presumably justified in some cases but we need to be careful not to get a reputation.
Bring on Lincoln!
Oxford United 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Satisfactory outcome under the circumstances. I like the consistent core of the team. Best game for Norris for a while. Is he our number one choice now? Re the penalty shout it looked like Norwood grabbed Mousinho first before he returned the favour!
Well done Ipswich supporters!
Taylor: Massively Disappointing Because We Did Enough to Win
Who is responsible for preparing the team? We were not ready for Lincoln who put 5 goals past us with ease. We were not ready for the Beast in the second half v Wycombe.....just go to Wiki or other sites to learn about his style....in the end we were spooked even though we had access to how he operates. And now today.....v Exeter Reserves...how much intelligence was provided to the players? Exeter took us comfortably in stride.
Not only that we rarely look like scoring and we make several defensive errors. Very unprofessional.
Exeter City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
We were generally the superior team however the stark facts are that we rarely looked like scoring and made several defensive errors.
Positives were more minutes for Bish and Freddie.
Well done to our loyal supporters who made the long trip.
Lambert: Were There Some Harsh Words There? Yes, But Not Over the Top
How about 2 hours at Playford Road before we take on Wycombe
An hour on practicing crisp passing (that we delivered during the first few games. There are now too many loopy/floaty balls that have crept in.
An hour to practice basics of defending...including who marks who...and effective communications.
Then select our best team and subs. Eliminate riddles.
Merry Christmas From TWTD
Merry Christmas and A VERY HAPPY WINNING NEW YEAR!
Thanks Phil and Gav for keeping us informed and motivated.
Ipswich Town 0-0 Gillingham - Match Report
We never looked like scoring. Very disappointing in front of 22,000. Lambert talking in riddles is post game comments. At least we are still second! Good to see Freddy back in action but insufficient time to make an impact. UTTBs

Good to see you looking fit and well Ray.....and Andy too. Ray, you are still my hero!
I was blessed to be a 14 year old when we won the First Division and slipped out of school with my mates a few times to get the train to London including that pivotal March 1962 game v Spurs at White Hart Lane.
They were great times and thankfully Paul has begun to get good things going again now.
Ipswich Town 4-0 Gillingham - Match Report
The Leasing Cup is great to see what our lads can do. I am impressed with the calibre and depth of our squad. Dobra definitely looks like one for the future and no doubt would even be effective in League 1 if given the opportunity. We also still have Bishop, Sears and Lancaster t look forward to.
Lambert: Absolutely Fantastic Second Half
I agree with Paul. A great second half with brilliant goals from Garbutt and Vincent-Young.
Still waiting for more from Norwood but confident that it will come soon.
Can't wait for Fleetwood!
