I won't say Southampton at home because we actually played OK and were let down massively by Muric and some poor finishing. We also bounced back well away at Villa and started really well at home to Spurs. What followed in that game and then away at Man U was an absolute mess. |

Yeah I'm happy to be proven wrong but don't see it either.
Morsy and Luongo got through so much defensive work last season, it was a huge part of why the team worked. Cam doesn't have that in him. Very tidy and clever on the ball but we struggled to dominate games in league 1 when he played there. |

Him and O'Shea defended the box superbly. Had to look up the amount of clearances and it was 14 for O'Shea and 13 for Burg. |

Superb decision to use Townsend on the overlap. How many time is have we seen him try to cut inside and get a shot off against 3 defenders. |

Maybe I'm being biased but I think the league is stronger this year. The top 4 maybe not but the rest of the league all seem to have improved or at least have enough squad strength to not have any major issues (thinking Everton, West Ham) |

I think the problem applies all over the pitch in that the 'upgrades' haven't been substantial enough. We can argue about which CBs should be playing but the reality is all of them are inconsistent and prone to the odd error at this level. |
