Looks like a good bit of business although I haven’t watched him in Germany looks like the sort of player who could make a real difference to their season.

Although I did think the same about Phillips and thought he was a good signing for us. I thought McKenna could get the best out of him but he just couldn’t stay fit for long enough to find any sort of form. Wonder what happens to him now, the only Premiership team I could see being interested would be Leeds and surely that would be for sentimental reasons.

Also wonder with Morsy leaving does anyone think giving Mass another year would have been a good idea, if he’d have been interested of course. We look so light in the midfield area at present. I do worry if we rely on Taylor being a starter in the centre of the park. Of course I know there could be other players coming in but not long until the season starts and if we don’t strengthen until the end of the window we could be a few points behind the leaders.

Next Season - Players On Loan

Thinking about next season back in the Championship, has anyone been watching any of our players currently out on loan.

I’m just wondering if any of them are going to come back and force their way back into the squad or even the starting 11.

We’re going to need new players and it would be a bonus if we can get some players who have improved whilst away from the club and add to the squad.

Central Midfield

After being at the game Saturday I’m concerned that we are looking very thin on the ground for central midfield. We got overrun at times last season, and only going to be tougher in the Premiership. I’m a great fan of Morsy and Luongo but both wrong side of 30 and I can’t see Morsy not having a suspension or 2 next season. Mass didn’t often finish a game last season and I don’t see Taylor as filling this position.

It all seams to have gone quiet on any new signings in the midfield so just wondering if there’s any rumours or links I’ve missed about new signings. It’s the one area that we really need to add too.
