Plymouth Back On Top as Pilgrims and Barnsley Win
at 07:56:31

All very exciting indeed and for sure we need to win some big games. But remember any team having to play someone who is fighting for survival is not an easy run in as some suggested by some. We are capable of beating the big teams as they allow us to play football and express ourselves. I really believe there are some big twists and turns still to happen and although its not a given we will achieve our goal, I do however have great confidence in what this team and excellent manager have achieved in a relatively short period. Great football, atmosphere and vision for this great football club and now the memories of MaCarthy and Keane are distant ones. Keep it going Town!!

Plymouth Argyle 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 08:07:14

Well an excellent game in L1 and must have surpassed many neutrals expectations. I was always nervous about this game as there record is superb at home and they like us they have an excellent young manager. I think in all honesty they looked a little bit more of a threat in the final third with our final ball just not quite on the money. I have looked at the Conor Chaplin incident a few times and as a town fan I would lone to have a different view, but in reality believe that CC was trying to trick the ref and may have been better off trying harder to stop the situation. In addition to that Morsy and Evans were very lucky to stay on the pitch and must show better dicipline in big games, in the Premier and with VAR they would have gone. All in all lets not get downbeat a first loss against a title contender and we pick up 3 points on Saturday not the end of the world after a very tough group of games. Up the Town !!

Simpson Huddersfield Deal Closer
at 11:50:55

The lad clearly has an aggressive agent and I am pleased with the approach taken by Mark Ashton and Co. We have spent far too long letting players go on the cheap and this chap was happy to sign a long term contract with us and must be accepting of the clubs position. Good luck TS but remember that agents do not always conduct their business in the complete interest of the player. Again I totally trust the team under MA's guidance to do the right deals for this club.

Bonne's QPR Future in Question
at 07:49:26

I did like the lad and he offered something early in his time with us, that if he could repeat would be a great a asset. However I have complete faith in MA & KM to seek out and attempt to purchase the right players for this squad going forward, as they have not got much wrong to date.

McKenna: Experienced Defender Has Been Target, Ndaba Set For Loan

Be careful when you cast stones without the level of knowledge required to make a sound judgement and always look at the broader picture, it can be helpful! I am sure that KM recognises that some experiance in and around the ground and changing room will be very useful, we see it with our skipper from my observations. There are many great players who have made poor judgments on many occasions and have been instrumental in their teams success, BEST, GAZZA, CANTONA and indeed one of our very own who we rightly acknowledged with a statue.

McKenna: Disappointing Night
at 15:55:06

I remain convinced it will happen, and I am sure we will have more chance by playing good tactical football patterns along with maintaining good fitness levels. I also believe the goals will come from a greater number of individuals and I would not be surprised to see Morsy and Chaplin weigh in with 20 goals between them. I sincerely hope we knock MK Dons and Burton Albion for a few and with another 6 points on the board come Tuesday night, the premature doubters will be back in their boxes.

McKenna: Disappointing Night
at 13:33:29

I have never read such a load of garbage in all my life and wow you really should manage you expectations better after only two league games of the season. I agree totally with ITFCRich some of the best football we have seen for some time and lots of plus points to concentrate on rather than every single potential negative. I do really wonder at the level of football intelligence on this website and would strongly urge you all to have a large does of reality and focus on so many positive moves within the club after so many horrible years. If we are mid table ands not entertaining at Christmas then some of your commnets might be justified to a greater extent, in the meantime keep the faith!!

Thinking outside the box here!! Affordable, good cover, good timing to allow Ndaba to develop elsewhere, experianced and good addition to the changing room and training ground. More positives than nebatives?

Town Confirm Hurst and Doig Depart
at 08:05:47

I have never been one to want to rush and sack managers, however as nice as this guy was it was a job to soon for him and he got a bit carried away with the technical side of it. On what I have seen he has been tactically not at the races with playing players out of position, and sticking with a plan that was negative and not working. He will work again and be much wiser for the experience, however a job such as this is not a training school as the stakes are so high. It does not surprise me he has gone before the end of October possibly due to contract arrangements that pave the way for a much lower level of compensation if he is released within a given timeframe, after all MC is about money!! And now for Lambert and of course us die hard fans would be twitchy about it, but put the Norwich connection to one side and lets have some experience and strong man management to take us to safety so we can start afresh next season. Finally lets put this on hold for 24 hours while we pay our respects to a real legend and fan of our beloved football club. Have a safe journey Beat you will always be remembered with the highest level of respect and love from all who had the privalidge to see you play and know you as a person RIP Big 6.

Updated - Marcus Evans Interview
at 13:35:05

Wow !! Thank you Marcus for this honest and well thought out interview which I believe could be the catalyst for a new start. I only wish you had come out and shown the fans this understanding of you earlier as I am sure that by the majority it will be well received and very reassuring.

I personally am very pleased with this and now will think twice about what I say about our Chairman, lets just get a good manager for the long term (Gary White??) and take this club forward and back to the top league where it belongs.

McCarthy Denies Aiming Tirade at Fans
at 21:57:05

Let's just try and not let this situation get totally out of control, I thought we played well today and the strategy was a good one. Although I accept that Mick needs to stop being so bloody stubborn and pull together with the fans but he also needs the support and direction of our anonymous chairman.

McCarthy: I'd Go Back to Sunderland in a Heartbeat - If I Was Out of Contract
at 10:23:07

I can't believe how much this comment has aggravated me, a very niaive comment to make at a time when fans are questioning him as a manager. I have always given him the benefit of doubt but have to say the comment is typical of his arroganance and not required. A tad of modesty and thought for fans who are coming up to their second full decade in the second tier would be more appropriate. I fear that this once great club is reaching the point of no return and having been an attender at Portman Road since 1974 I am seriously concerned !!!!!
