It was a tough game there last season, their pace and movement caused us big problems, Cressie and Chambo got a real run around, so although not wanting to change a winning team, a proper right back needs serious consideration, Bru and Bish a must as their midfield pace will by pass a Skuse and Hyam pairing.

What a difference a month makes! The cautious optimism a number of us felt driving back from Derby has started to blossom this month, it's ironic that injuries forced the fielding of Bishop and the moving of Parr to right back against Derby, Mings and Parr have not looked back since, Chambo back to his proper position looks the Luke of old, Berra is immense and MM is using the fully fit squad to their potential, and we have yet to see Stewart. Looking forward to Tuesday night and next Sunday, keep it up boys! |

Just back. Arrived at ground with news of £12m bid or deal for DM and T Smith, so mixed feelings about game and what formation.
The settled nature of the Derby team was evident from the start with our boys working things out and settling down, Hendricks injury upset them and we started to get involved.
Felt sorry for Chambers as when he went off we were much more balanced and took things to them, in my view Chambers has looked off it since the extra time at Crawley, positive approach led to goal and couple real decent chances, so happier drive back, particularly as met some Brum supporters on way back from their thrashing.
So as many have said enforced changes led to more positive midfield play, Smith back to form, Bishop, Mings, Henshall and Bru showed potential shape of things to come :) |
