Parker Among Interviewees
at 22:25:12

Everyone will have their own views and opinions as to who the next manager will be. And not everyone will be happy with whom is ever appointed.

Marcus Evans has come out to say that it will be someone different to who we have had before.

He should have spoken to the fans way before now. However, this is the time where we need to all come together as one for our club and team we support.

Sir Bobby was 36 when he was appointed manager having been sacked at Fulham. All young managers start somewhere. Eddie Howe started his mangerial career at Bournemouth and look what he has done.

Bryan Klug is Ipswich through and through and will know Scott Parker from his days at Spurs and I am sure Marcus Evans has his ear.

Whoever is appointed, whether we agree or not, we all need to be pulling in the same direction for our club and team. And so long as we have a manager which isn't all about them, we will be going in the right direction.

Marcus Evans will have seen the impact of what Bryan Klug, Chris Hogg and Gerard Nash have had and will want to maintain that momentum and connection with the fans.

McCarthy: Big Wins at Important Time
at 20:29:05

So 7 Championship managers have already been sacked this season and we are barely into November.

That shows what is wrong in football and life in general in the 'microwave' society we live in now of having everything instantly.

If you look back at last season we had an awful October and didn't win a game!!

We have only lost one more game than last season at this stage and only have 4 fewer points.

The football may not have been super sexy and turgid at times but 2 defeats in 10 now.

I know who I would prefer in charge that's for sure and you don't win anything or promotion in November.

Kenny Set to Join Town
at 08:08:08

I think people should calm down a little. He is back up for month, nothing more. He is an experienced championship keeper and we need one whilst gerken is injured.

And look at Mick's record of his signings here, speaks for itself.

Millwall 1-3 Town - Match Report

3 goals away, on 50 points and second in the league with our best chance of promotion, how can people moan at that.

Mick will become a Portman Road legend.

And who can remember when it was alleged to be between MM and Holloway for the job. I know who I wanted.

Both Mick and ME can smell promotion is there for the taking and so should we.

Norwich troll giving negative score on positive posts.

Sad and get a life.

We have the best manager in championship and with the right additions we will be competing next season.

Hats off to mick and TC, 53 points from 32 games with effectively the same defence.

We have a Wiley old fox as a manager who will make sure we are safe. This lot beat Leicester at home, Blackburn away and Millwall away scoring goals for fun.

It's a decent point and one closer to safety.

COYB and in mick we trust . He manages the team, we support the team.

McCarthy Happy With Point
at 07:55:28

Another point towards staying up and that is the ultimate goal. If you look at huddersfields home league form for the past month they have drawn with Cardiff and beaten palace so our point is a decent point.

Everyone knows we lack creativity so all those keep saying it on here may as well do copy and paste til the end of the season!

We used to have a chocolate tea pot defence and we are now solid at he back. Since mm has come in we have not lost 2 consecutive games. It's not pretty but I just want to stay up .

Huddersfield still have wolves, Peterborough, Bristol city and Barnsley to play.

We will get enough points to stay up and next season will be when we see a real team who will compete.

Keep the faith, COYB

McCarthy: Better Side Up to The Goal
at 09:47:55

Sad and disappointing that people point the finger and turn on the back of a defeat. The modern fan is so fickle. It's to easy for them to be become and defeatist and just start the blame game.

As others have said, people weren't saying play Jason Scotland when he was out of the team.

So long as we finish 4th bottom or higher then people should be ecstatic given where we were. Mick McCarthy was right what he said when we were on the good run. I am sure that both Leicester or middlesborough thought they would l

Campbell Set for Blackburn
at 20:36:01

I think some should look at how much money is actually being spent in the championship, not a lot. That is the reality and we are not alone.

And for someone to say about the venkeys, I know who I would rather have.

As people have said before, mm would not have joined the club without assurances about money to spend etc.

When things go well people have nothing to say but at the first sign of some adversity its easy to jump on the bandwagon.

Roll up our sleeves lads and support mm and the team.

As for dj, did well for us but let's not forget he turned down hull and palace cos of personal terms, agents!!

Town Confirm Stearman Loan
at 07:56:44

Don't really understand the negativity from some people. We lose saturday and all of a sudden people are on the bandwagon of doom!!

Mick is not going to throw millions around at this stage of a season, he knows he has the tools to stay up. Even if you average out all of our points which includes 7 points from first 13 we would still get enough points. Those below will have to get nearly the same number of points they have already in the last 17 games.

Get behind the team and the boss which we support.

McCarthy Angry After Town Let Robins Off the Hook
at 07:32:11

A lot of comments on here shows the fickle side of football fans. Yes, we lost but we are still 6 points clear of the bottom.

Look at where we were when Mick joined so perhaps for the all the rubbish we have had we have been spoilt with the results we had.

Everyone has a good spell and we will go on another.

Mm would not have joined us without assurances over money so let mm do his job and we do ours on the terraces cos we will never get a better manager than the one we have.

Time to stick together, roll up our sleeves and stick together. We had a great November and December and a poor one in January.

No game is easy in this league and those below us are more dangerous.

We will stay up and have complete faith in Mick to take us forward.

Let's keep getting behind Mick and the team and do our bit.

McCarthy Disappointed to Concede After Break
at 08:44:37

Have to disagree lombokblue.
Look at the players that keane brought in and the money spent and where are the now? And oh yes, bullard, Ellington, ingarmarsson etc...

Do you think mm is going to go and sign prem players? The players he has signed are better than we have had before thats for sure.

Mm will make us have strength, pace and power and play as a team.

We have probably the best manager in this league who will make us very competitive next season and will prove to be the best manager we have had for years.

McCarthy Happy With Christmas Points Haul
at 21:55:16

MM has had 13 games and won 23 points. We were bottom with 7 points when he arrived so to have 30 points going into 2013 with the same group of players is a huge achievement.

We won't win every game and he will make sure we are still in this division next season.

This was a big match for Brighton with the run they were on and lets not forget they have played a game less over Xmas.

Mick will keep his cards close to his chest and am sure he has a good idea of who will be coming in this month.

Seems that too many people are too quick to have a moan after 1 loss. We are lucky with the manager we have and our patience will be rewarded.

Keep the faith and Coyb.

Why some people support this club and pay money god only knows.

It's one game with 17 points from last 10.

Get a grip and support the team. Too many people appear to get pleasure from when we don't win and that is out of order.

Support the team win, lose or draw.

Jewell Delighted for McCarthy
at 07:31:06

Yes, we must respect PJ for saying this and I am sure he is a decent bloke (not actually knowing him). But let's not forget the mess he got into not only this season but last season too.

Not to actually recognise we needed a proper right back was madness and he lacked tactical nouse in changing a game.

Watching Mick and tv on the sideline is a breath of fresh air and also what they do at the end of the game.

Yes, we will lose some games but we should embrace this managerial partnership cos they will move us forward.

I hope PJ gets another job and that he has learnt from his mistakes.
