Is McAtee really a great upgrade on Ogbene such that we need to pay 11 million and then send Ogbene on loan?
Do we really need Furlong? Although he can play Centre back he hasn’t done so for years he’s always been a right back and if we are signing him then would Ben Johnson have been a reasonable alternative at right wing?
If wolf is unhappy then fine but how did we get to a place where he is this unhappy?
We start Chaplin on Saturday and then let him go on loan on the Monday was this really the plan unless he is suddenly absolutely insistent on leaving? Is somebody else coming in?
McAteer, Núñez and Furlong feel a little bit like middling championship squad players and fees feel relatively high. Am I being overly pessimistic? Perhaps my expectations were a little bit high.?
There are some posters on here and on Twitter with previous of getting things correct that have said this one could well happen soon. Probably the best we get for now.
Was really pleased when JC signed but he just doesn’t fit the system and now broadhead is looking to move because he’s not had enough playing time. The logic is to sell him because he probably won’t sign a contract and we have to find a replacement. hopefully Philogene is that replacement.
What you say is a logical interpretation but there are other ways of looking at it. We are all speculating based on limited knowledge which is of course what fans do.
Taking a post by Rommers at face value Hackney was happy with us but not sure about transferring at another club in the championship. Perhaps he travelled to have a look and a discussion to help make up his mind? Ultimately he decided to stay at Boro, at least for now.
Did Cajuste want to join 2 months ago or is what he said just usual PR now he’s here?
It may be easy to perceive the window as odd but in reality is it? Ii doubt we now 10% of what goes on behind the scenes.
Not sure I completely agree, but like you say, it’s all about opinions. Worth bearing in mind that that Sunderland game two years ago we were played off the park for large parts. Difference is we managed to find a way to win that one whereas last night found a way to get a draw..
