Sam has been an incredible player, leader, captain and role model to many at the club and needs to go with our support understanding and overwhelming thanks.
The very least we can do for Sam is allow him and his family to leave with our gratitude for what he has done for our great club.

Shame as it appears he’s a decent player, however he says he wants an “important club”?
Perhaps Spurs, oh no wait they finished just outside the relegation places, maybe one of the world’s biggest clubs then, Manchester United. No maybe not, they also finished close to the relegation zone and lost an important European game to erm Spurs.
No son, you need a club where you’ll grow, improve be coached and appreciated on and off the pitch.

I certainly wouldn’t rule out a move away for Sam but not a chance can I see him being sold to Derby. Firstly I don’t see Sam being happy at a lower half Championship side. I’d also be surprised to see us let him go without a ready made replacement being able to step straight into the side.
This is a huge season as we continue to rebuild and Big Sam will be an integral part of the club. |

I’m always surprised how easily MM is forgiven for some diabolical football here. Yes, he was given very little money to spend but some of the football at times was tedious and embarrassing.
As fans we had every right to express our feelings, this was often met with hostility and short snappy remarks to those of us treated to football from Robson, Lyall, Royle and Burley.
Paired with Evans, they both had a big hand in the way Town was run and subsequently fell to relegation. He did an okay job but legend, most definitely not. |

An absolute snip at £1.1 Million. Might be a controversial opinion but I wouldn’t be adverse to seeing Leif go for decent money. He was found wanting on occasions this season and if we return to the Premier League in the next Two seasons we’d I feel need a stronger Left back.
