Ward: We Believe in the Manager and in His Philosophies
at 23:03:09

Phylosophies like playing one up front even in a home game, playing players out of position and inexplicable rotation (though thankfully not so much this season).

Lambert: Morally I Think Us Playing Football is Wrong
at 15:44:08

Anyone with half a brain cell (that governing authorities of football in this Country don't have) knew that this Covid thing could be with us for a long time and interfere with this season too. With only 8 games remaining for most teams last season - two games a week for four weeks, it could and should have been concluded with a full schedule of fixtures. To have two successive aborted seasons would be difficult for football to bear. I take Lambert's point, but football, albeit without crowds, gives people an interest and something to focus on during lockdown. I think it should continue.

Ipswich Town 2-3 Swindon Town - Match Report
at 19:44:58

Am I right in thinking we played with one up front even when we were chasing the game. I heard the Swindon manager speaking before the game and he was full of positivity contrasted with Judge's comment about the lay-off and lack of games being full of negativity. Phycology is a huge part of football. Be negative, sow the seed of doubt and generally you'll get a negative result.

Judge: Break Could Have an Impact

I really don't like players getting excuses lined up before matches. If not too few matches the excuse is too many. He has sowed the seed of negativity before the game has even started.

EFL to Continue But Tractor Girls' Season Suspended
at 05:59:49

The Girls were the best team in the Division last season but didn't get their just rewards. They looked like they were on course to be the best team this season. Let us hope the suspension is only temporary as they clearly should be playing at a higher level.

Lincoln puling away but some teams around us have played games in hand and not taken full advantage. Could still drop further but generally other results over the last few days have been favourable to us.

Town Down to Sixth
at 06:18:45

Not to play yet maintain a top six place is a bit of a result without even playing. We can drop a couple of places if games in hand are won by teams below us but some yesterday used up their games in hand and dropped points. I'll settle for that.

Peterborough Game Off After Positive Covid Test at Posh
at 15:39:48

Disappointing but can't be helped. It may allow a little time for players with injuries to recover but cause a fixture pile-up later. It's not beyond possibility that this Season could be curtailed and final positions calculated on a points per game basis as last Season. I hope not, though, as we have a relatively favourable run-in. Not that there are any easy games.

Listening on the radio it sounded less than convincing but I will happily accept the three points. In the light of most other results tonight it would have been a missed opportunity not to have done so.

Ipswich Town 0-2 Portsmouth - Match Report
at 18:18:35

Who could be surprised by this result. There seems to a lack of leadership on the pitch. With teams below us with games in hand we could slip to ninth - and that is how I see us at the moment - a mid-table Third Tier Club. No one hopes I'm wrong more than me, but I felt that when we were regated from the Championship (which was by no means a foregone conclusion under Paul Lambert) that if we didn't get promoted at the first attempt we would be stuck in this Division for years. The better players will leave and it is quite conceivable that we could be fighting off relegation to League Two. It happened to Wolves, Coventry and others that historically had played regularly in the top flight. Injuries don't help but I blame the Club for this also. We seem to buy them injured and the amount suffered in training simply is not explained by the Law of Averages or bad luck. There has been no progress under Paul Lambert.
