McKenna: A Striker of Mariner's Ilk Will Never Go Out of Fashion
at 12:44:08

Really did make my day to read that both teams are playing tribute to the late great Paul Mariner today. It's days like this where I really miss attending matches! I hope it'll be a terrific day with both teams playing their hearts out putting on a real show COYB!

A Curious Hat-Trick
at 13:46:48

Really enjoyed your account of your visit to PR. I really enjoyed your account of Sir Bobby too. It's 13 years this year that he passed away and that means there's a whole new generation of Fulham (and possibly new Ipswich fans) who don't know who the great man was so your post on the Fulham forum will really help to educate those who've grown up being told that top level football began in 1992. I've had a soft spot for Fulham for a number of years after being in hospital with a Fulham fan and the only two interested in football, Plus your home ground is quite an exception these days compared to these out of town, identikit behemoths that seem to be the rule in the top levels of professional football, a lovely stadium well worth a visit. All the best to you and best of luck to FFC for the rest of the season

With Arc and Paddy39 on this, would love ITFC Women to have the opportunity to play this in front of a decent crowd at Portman Road.

A Scarf of Blue and White Bars
at 14:20:04

@SpiritOfJohn I found the words of your song/ poem incredibly moving. The last verse especially. The early verses really remind me of my first game which would have been a few years later, early 80s. I was leant a scarf for the match then I got my own one for the following Christmas - which I still have. Your first couple of verse took me right back to being that little 5/6 year old and the wonder of seeing that big green pitch and all the people and the noise. the way those blue and red kits stood out against the pitch and the stands. Something quite magical about seeing all that for the first time.

I cannot begin to comprehend what you & your family have been through so your determination to honour Tylers memory to help others is very inspiring. Best of luck with your fundraising Chris.

Ex-Blue Hyam Announces Retirement
at 18:25:18

Its always a shame to see a player have to retire early, but to see that he wants to use his experience to help others in our community shows the character of the lad, that same drive and determination we saw week in, week out. All the very best of luck to him. Luke Hyam - he's one of our own!
