I was a young teenager on a rare trip out with a school friend & we were in the clock end. It felt like we were cruising until Big Al decided to punch a cross away instead of leave it alone. Then it was a very nerve racking period until Wark sealed the deal.

Gandalf the grey wouldn’t have kept us up this year. It’s nigh on impossible.
It’s simple, the squad is not strong enough. The players aren’t good enough. To have a squad that can compete, you need prem quality players. Delaps ok but who would you rather have up front - Delap or Salah/Cuhna/Wood/Watkins/isak/Haarlandetc. It’s the same in every position and the only way to bolster is to pay big bucks. Not £150m, more like £600m. A top striker doesn’t cost £40m, he costs at least £100m.
KMs done his best, but he hasn’t had a chance from day 1. He can’t recruit properly because he’s not allowed to spend because of premiership FFP rules.
Roll on next season, it’ll be better fun in the championship! |

What a load of tosh people spout.
McKenna can only use the players he has at his disposal and he currently has a bunch of championship level players with a couple of lower rate prem players. This season they’ve played well above their station but they’re always going to struggle against established prem teams. Look at any of our players and you would struggle to fit any into any prem side with the exception of Soton & Leics. |

The 3 that were promoted will go down as happened last year. With current new FFP rules this may well turn out to be the norm.
2 of The 3 that went down last year are in the top3 champ places. Leeds are a surprise package & who knows what happened to Luton.
See how things develope over the next few seasons but it could be that the prem becomes a closed shop with a handful of yo-yo clubs. |
