 | Forum Reply | How much longer does McKenna have? at 22:55 4 Dec 2024
The board will accept this run of results for some time. McKenna could move on but it'll be because a bigger club has put in a ludicrous offer. Leicester have won 1 game, hard to claim that they are rejuvenated. I don't know if you are a new fan or not, but it wasn't long ago (2017) that we were beaten in the FA cup by (at the time) non-league Lincoln on live tv. The saddest thing about that defeat wasn't the result, it was the performance. We deserved to lose. We have come a long way since. |

Love the way they've already done the predictions and the transfer window hasn't closed yet. Plenty of change likely across all teams in the Premiership before the start of the season. I've seen one other supercomputer prediction also, that put us in last place. It'd be interesting to see the predictions from last year and match them against last years table. |

Didn't realise that we couldn't win it. Sometimes winning these competitions can lead to greater things: Spain -2023 Nations League, 2024 Euro Champions Ipswich- Innsbruck Cup 2023, Promotion 2024 Norwich- Dr Caecor Batista Trophy 1971, Division 2 Champions 1972, Football Shaped Ice Bucket Trophy to show that they won the Division 2 Championship 1972. Texaco Cup Runners Up Shield 1973. |

The 1962 League Cup was a watered down competition (top teams didn't participate)- hence the final against Rochdale. To add- they've won more trophies than that (Texaco Cup Runners Up Shield, Full Members Cup, Friendship Trophy, Willhire Cup to name just a few). They've been Division 2 and Division 3 Champions. "On the ball city" is the oldest football song. They are the only English team to beat Bayern Munich at Bayern. They've won the East Anglian Cup and Invitation Cup on multiple occasions. |

Only one trophy won in our entire history. Always the bridesmaid and never the bride. When we compare with some other countries, a huge gap in trophies won (Uruguay for example...2 World Cups and 15 Copa America wins). We will win a trophy at some point again....I hope :) |

Not sure who told you we played Inter and Arsenal Reserves, but whoever it was can't be trusted as that's a downright lie. Strongly suggest taking a look at where you heard that from. |

Birmingham draw with Norwich and Hull beat Plymouth 4-0. Not likely to happen but who'd stay up in that scenario? |
 | Forum Reply | THE BIGGEST MUST NOT LOSE IN THE HISTORY OF ITFC at 04:53 28 Apr 2024
In the last 20 years. Not in the history of ITFC. Don't forget our glory days in the 60's, 70's and 80's. We were one of the best clubs in Europe for a number of years. |

It's worth mentioning now how important that QPR vs Leeds game was. If they were 3 points ahead now I'd honestly say "game over". QPR gave us a chance. |

Southampton made a load of changes for the Stoke game and many big players were either on the subs bench or not picked. From the BBC: Southampton boss Russell Martin told BBC Radio Solent: "There were a lot of changes today, we had a bad start to the game and Stoke were really good. "It's been a busy week and a tough week, I'm disappointed its ended like that at home. "We have another game to prepare for before the two biggest games of the season" Saints don't care about the Leeds game. 3 points guaranteed for them there. |

Crucial we get at least a point now at Coventry to keep it in our hands. |

I want them to stay in the championship and see how they get on with zero parachute money. The sales would begin.... |

I've only heard that he's doing fine in training. Very different being fit to "match fit" though so no idea when he'll be back in the team. I know original time frame was April, but really hard to put a time frame on these kind of injuries. Suppose the first we will know is when he's listed on the bench. Good to keep opposition in the dark also. |

I've not read of any fan talking of European football next season (apart from a couple of Nodge fans in the pink un). IF we get promoted (a huge IF) most fans would be happy to see us somehow survive next season. 4th from bottom finish would be a great first season. |
