Norwich home and away

Which way round do you prefer the games against Nodge ? I think I prefer the first one to be at home which must be the way it has most commonly fallen it seems.

Away Points
at 10:49 13 Jun 2025

I see my points have been updated and I am now on 25. It smarts a bit seeing the adjusted figure ! Hoping that the club continue to award 5 points for membership purchases again.

McKenna’s silence is deafening
at 10:27 9 Jun 2025

Sadly I have to now conclude that KM will be leaving. Like Silva at Fulham he (or his very active agent) could have easily distanced himself from the Brentford job. In the absence at this point of any such statement it seems apparent that the move will happen and I can only hope it is a quick process which allows Town to appoint, settle, and get stuck into the meat and drink of a huge challenge this summer and next season.
I can’t kid myself that I will be absolutely gutted when KM moves on. He has given us such a fanatic spell and as disappointed as I will be, I will remain grateful for the memories he has given us.
It would have been fantastic to see him have a crack at getting us promoted again next term but he has already turned down great opportunities previously to stay and the only thing that will peeve me a bit will be the public declarations that he was staying which he could have done differently if he was clearly going to be open to Premier League approaches.
I do have every confidence that MA willhave had a watching brief on the managerial market which is very different to the dark days under Evans when we were a knackers yard for journeymen and has-beens.
Managers come and go but we remain and it’s vital that we don’t suffer protracted disruption so that we can collectively come together behind a new man and prepare for a crucial season in the Championship.

Leicester away fancy dress ?

Seen some decent national league efforts for their last away games of the season. Just wondering if we should have a mass theme and if so what would it be ?

On the subject of humourous songs being chanted……

I really like Que Sera Sera, We’re going to Coventry.
It just lightens the whole mood beautifully and reminds us too of one of our best away trips of recent years when the boy Burgess smacked home that priceless winner.
Long may dark humour in football stadiums continue to be a thing.

Our brilliant fan base and big love for the Geordies
at 09:07 27 Apr 2025

Can only echo everything I have seen regarding the factthat the Newcastle fans were absolute class post match yesterday.
It is interesting on here to see the difference in attitude between those of us who have been fortunate enough to travel all season and those who have been limited to home games.
A (small but vocal) few seem a bit snippy from a distance about the travelling support but I think our away following has been sensational and rightly deserving of the praise coming our way.
That said, the home crowd has also been worthy of credit for staying on side and understanding the difficulties of the clubs quick ascent through the leagues.
We are in a great place as far as our fan base is concerned and huge thanks must go to Blue Action for their hard work and vital efforts in helping to galvanise our support.
I know it’s been hard this season but personally I have loved it and absolutely believe we have many exciting times ahead of us.
Love you all 💙🤍

The remainder of 24/25
at 09:03 6 Apr 2025

Must admit I am fine today. Sure I am disappointed we lost yesterday but I felt we were cooked after that defeat at home to Saints in early Feb. Never saw us coming back from that one which has proved to be the case.
I read the captain and manager’s comments regarding playing for points for the sake of the fans over the last seven games but we definitely have a part to play too.
Let’s make sure we really enjoy this part of the ride. It was always highly likely to be just one season and some of the fan bases’s showings have been excellent. A great example was the Bournemouth game on Wednesday night with almost non stop noise from start to finish.
A number of other forums have contained comment over the season indicating they have been impressed with our support so let’s not let that slide as we exit in the right way.
There’s so much to still be optimistic about with our club moving forward and a million miles from those dark years under Evans.
Next season is likely to be a lot of fun but I am determined not to let the rest of 24-25 go with a whimper.
COYB !

My three main hopes for the next few days/weeks
at 08:50 16 Mar 2025

1. KM confirms he will remain with us next season regardless of the league the club finds itself in.
2. Mark Ashton will need to say the right things about the remainder of 24/25 but to assure us all of the planning in the event of relegation.
3. A recruitment department overhaul. Would love a specialist to come in with an emphasis on obtaining gems from the overseas market.

Premier League Thoughts
at 15:51 23 Feb 2025

Sure it has been every bit as tough as we knew it would be. To be honest the fact that we have been bang in touch with survival before this weekend is incredible bearing in mind the circumstances of the clubs rapid rise.
Part of me feels I should now be telling myself that VAR is rubbish, as has been the refereeing on occasions, and it is just utterly dispiriting supporting a club trying to bridge the chasm that exists between the top two leagues BUT in truth I have absolutely loved it. I am going to miss it enormously when (in all likelihood) relegation happens.
I am fortunate to have been in attendance at every game this season (by the way this makes me no more or less a supporter than anyone else) and I have really enjoyed seeing my club back at the top table and playing a part in such an amazingly high quality competition.
Whether it is seeing Town represented in the Panini Premier League sticker album or the thrill of Town being on MOTD, I have taken real delight in the reality of the achievement we all celebrated last May.
Despite yesterday’s gut punch of a result, I am still chuffed at how competitive we have managed to be and how my club has represented itself in the international public glare.
I am still as excited as anything to be going to Old Trafford on Wednesday and I am determined to enjoy every second between now and the end of the season.

In the event of relegation, I hope so much that we manage to chart a path back to this league as soon as possible because, for me, there is no better place to be watching football.

McKenna OUT
at 15:22 23 Feb 2025

Hoping that got your attention ! Of course I don’t mean that but in the light of the overwhelming likelihood of relegation (which personally I think was all but sealed after the Saints loss at the start of the month), it is imperative that we don’t face a summer of McKenna agent fed speculation which will be such a distraction from the huge effort needed to keep the Town project on the rails. It seems clear enough that the loans will not stay and that we’ll lose Delap and possibly Davis. Those departures aside it seems to me that we will be (no guarantees I know) very competitive in the Championship. For me KM deserves all the plaudits afforded him after performing a modern day football miracle by hammering us through two divisions. Utopia would see him committing to Town publicly whichever division we are going to be in. I doubt that will be the case and can only hope that if he is to leave for pastures new, that he resigns the day after the end of the season. I can’t face another summer like the last one.
