 | News Comment | Akpom: Ajax and Lille Spells Made Me a Better Player at 13:50:35
Bazza8564, Clarke is shining, when did I miss that? Don't get me wrong I hope him and Philogene excel at our club. One game doesn't make a summer, let's wait and see who develops the best out of our front players? You are right about giving then time though. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 5-0 Sheffield United - Match Report at 22:18:53
Well I'll admit right now I was wrong about Jaden, he has been excellent in the last few games and even Clarke is showing improvement. We played football tonight and much of it going forward too, this win will help lift the gloom that has been hanging on us for a while now. Crowd were excellent, all in all a great performance, albeit against a poor Sheffield Utd side. Well done lads, proud of that one tonight. |
 | News Comment | Szmodics Out of Irish Squad Due to Injury at 08:08:46
No matter what happens with Sammy lets hope KM and especially the fans give the new players time to settle and bed into the team. Personally I have written this season off as a transition season, so not expecting a bounce back to the Prem. We were all sad to see such personalities depart during the summer but you can only move forward in life, so lets get behind the lads now. |
 | News Comment | Chaplin Set For Pompey Return at 18:28:34
The decision has obviously been made and like many others I love what Chappers brings to the team. I still think he has a role to play. I would however just like to mention the work he has done for the club/community off the pitch, which has been second to none. He is not just a great loss on the pitch but off it too. I am gutted to see him go and gutted to see multi million pound flops favoured in his place. This has spoilt my season, but Connor me old mate we wish you all the best at Pompey, they are VERY lucky to get you. You have been a true star at Portman Road. |
 | News Comment | Ogbene Completes Blades Loan Move at 18:13:52
Only time will tell how good or bad this window is? We must however stick with what will be a fairly new squad and hope it comes good. Disappointed for Chieo as think he would have prefered to stay but mostly I'm gutted to see Chaplin go, think he was one of our better players Saturday. |

itfc2024 it must be so much fun in your world!! He's brand new, think he might need a week or two around his colleagues to settle in???? |
 | News Comment | McKenna: The Most Broken Game I've Been Involved In at 15:11:24
If anyone is to blame for yesterday it's Derby County. They didn't even attempt to play football and yes we have to find a way around teams that do that to us and I believe once the new signings settle we will do that. Please remember how far this club came in very little time under KM, he has a tough job on his hands as the confidence has gone, but trust the process, there are still 42 games to go FFS!!!! |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 Derby County - Match Report at 18:38:46
Just a total lack of confidence in the side currently, oh how I wish to see the fast attacking game we used to play, but most of all we require leadership on the pitch, something sadly missing since we lost Sam Morsy. Sam would always step up when the chips were down and O'Shea doesn't, sadly. This rebuild will take time, we need to find our best team and stick with it. It all went downhill after Chaplin went off, he works so hard and links the play better than most. I'm also beginning to think KM has run out of ideas? |
 | News Comment | McKenna: The Majority of the Work's Done But Things Can Come Up Late at 17:13:05
I hope the complainers are at least a bit happier now, those of you who had us in Division 1 next season, think again. I'm kinda hoping that next season is the promotion season as I think we will be better equipped than last time. We have good cover and maybe a few will indeed go on transfer and others on loans (who I hope we can recall if we need to). A win tomorrow, regardless of selection would be a great way to start the international break. COYB!!!! |
 | News Comment | Town to Sign Norwich Midfielder Nunez at 22:28:12
I was watching a video today of the players at a Foundation event, what has been done for this club in the past 3 years or so is amazing, also what it has done for the town too. I get fed up seeing people moaning on here expecting us to sign Champions League players or similar. Don't care where the lads from or if he is carrying a knock, if he's good that's good enough for me. Let's get behind the lads, I suspect this isn't the last one in and I'm sure, under difficult circumstances, the club is doing it's best. COYB!!! |
 | News Comment | Preston North End 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 20:27:40
As Jimmy Greaves once said on Saint and Greavsy 'It's a funny old game Saint', KM has gone from hero to zero on here and looks like he only knows what Plan A is, as there is plainly no Plan B. Players are devoid of confidence and I hope I never see Jack Clarke in an Ipswich shirt again. It isn't his poor performance, but a complete lack of effort that makes me say that. There were signs of improvement but we have yet to score in open play this season. KM it's maybe time to drop Plan A and adopt another plan, the letter doesn't matter. 3 at the back, 2 up top, I don't know, but please stop picking players who have not performed for some time. Derby is a must win for me, surely we can beat Deby at home ???? |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Preston Have Made a Good Start, Up to Us to Impose Ourselves On the Game at 12:48:22
Honestly some people on here defy belief! Yes last season was awful from a results point of view and we don't always know as fans what goes on in the boardroom. Personally I have followed Town for 60 years and even following last seasons relegation (with it's inherent lack of confidence) it will take a little while for the squad to gel (after comings and goings over the summer). So after 2 games, it appears all doom and gloom to some, well I think we'll be fine, promoted I doubt it, but fine none the less. KM & MA have given us some great times and the club has been transformed, have you all forgotten how dire it was? So come on guys, quit the bleating and get behind the lads, moaning never solved anything!!!! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We Want to Keep Woolfy But These Situations Aren't Always Simple at 16:05:25
I'm sure he doesn't want to go, but I'm sure he wants to play regularly, I don't blame him for that. I wish I thought both our centre backs were much better than him, but I don't, in the same way I felt about Burgess and Axel. I do feel as though KM has stuck with expensive players he has purchased when their performances do not reflect their selection. These are tough times, I hope Woolfy stays, he deserves to be playing on a more regular basis, maybe with a slight switch in position? |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Southampton - Match Report at 20:29:08
Not an enjoyable watch, promising start and didn't really improve until Chaplin came on, he really should be starting. What the hell does Jack Clarke add, he's been poor for some time, he needs to get his head up when he plays and be more aware of what is around him. Hopefully we will improve, but I don't currently smell promotion I'm afraid :-( |
