looking at our 442 the team is good, possibly even really good when we get going and used to a system. Ship some oldies out - get some youth in for January and playoffs are realistic...
Great signing - well done. Need more. knowing that PJ much prefers 4-4-2. We desperately desperately need quality in midfield, someone to create and control the game. (as well as a left winger, another defender, maybe a right back and a striker)
I had an long running argument with a mate - also Town fan, about which goal V bolton away was better. The first - a wonder strike from distance, which he argued was luckier than the second - the classy considered cool finish. We couldn't settle the argument, so wrote to the green un who contacted Marcus Stewart - and he brilliantly wrote back....
Who designs these kits? We haven't had a really good kit since the early 80's.
If only we could attract adidas back - or someone who can actually design decent kits. The lower % in profit they would offer us would be far outweighed by literally everyone buying it. 78-85 were outstanding kits that were regularly voted the best in Europe.
Another nice gesture would be for ME to take his bloody massive name off the front. Its not as if he needs it. Have a look at arsenals home kit for next year as reference
Question for tonights show... Which current or ex town player would be most useful in a Saturday night town center fight. I know Titus was tough and The Beat was big - but surely just for his aggro size Micky Stockwell would run ting...
Remember - Linford won the 100 meters with PMA - Positive Mental Attitude... ... and some steroids but that's not the point. Get behind the team, don't worry about Keanes job - his contract is bigger than Linfords luchbox - do your job - support.
we share with newcastle a love of a football and a love of a football genius who meant a lot to both clubs.
When two teams can overcome the base necessity to hate the opposition, and to celebrate the life of a genius - a pathetic 90 minute match that might get us out of the relegation zone pales into insignificance
as painful as it is - we have to forget about Rhodes. Theres no point focusing on what could have been. But it may well haunt us for a long time. We also have to give players time to settle, McCauley got much better through last season....
BUT we are dreadfully outbalanced as a team, and surprisingly lack solidity in central midfield. Something you would hope Keane would recognise. If we do go down his favoured tactic am i being over the top stating we need 4 players to play 433 and 3 to play 442????
