I always try and avoid putting early kick offs into my accas and perms to avoid my bet being done at the first hurdle as yours has been. Decent blog though, although 4-1 to the town, even at 66-1, feels like giving the bookies money. |

There was never an issue with 'compatibility' but more of an issue with Keane's ability as a manager of men individually and of a team collectively. The recent results, rather than showing what a great legacy he left us, highlight how he consistently failed to get the best out of his team. |

Whilst I wish Roy no ill will I'm glad to see the back of him. Alarm bells were ringing for me after last years West Brom game with his they'll never play for me again comments, MaCauley was one of the three he aimed this at which sums up Roy's tenure at Ipswich. |

Last summer Warnock signed Ambrose ( a player who has underperformed quite consistently since leaving us as a teenager) he told this still young man who clearly lacks in self belief how he was going to build his Palace side around him. The result was that Ambrose was a revelation to many last season, I am no great lover of Colin W*****r but can any of us see Keane doing something similar. The art of good management is knowing which players just need a 'hug' and to be told that you believe in them and which players need a good boot up the jacksy! I have no doubt Keane has the ability to dish out the boots but is he so forthcoming with the hugs! Personally think Garvan is the sort who needs to know that his manager truly backs him, I know he lacks pace but is that rare breed nowadays who can put their foot on the ball and look comfortable. |

Friday night games live on sky used to be awesome, especially when we'd got early train up to Norwich in time for the pubs opening, there was never enough trouble to warrant midday kick offs on a sunday though. |

Do you really think that if by some miracle we had got promoted that we would be in a position to bid for Joe Cole or Michael Ballack, not sure if I find such a high level of delusion amusing or worrying that you aren't subject to some sort of supervision. |
