Walton really appears to have been written off in all of this. The season before last he was one of our stand out players and I remember the shudder that reverberated around the SoL when we learnt he was injured and Vaz was in.
GK s more than any other position have to bide their time and fate dictated that Vaz had in the main an incredible season.

I think it speaks volumes of the kind of person he is. This confirms to me of what others who know and work with him have said, he is a guy whose moral compass appears to be well adjusted.
I look back and read some of the comments that were levelled at him over the last few weeks and feel a little ashamed at what some have said and suggested.
I have no doubt he will move on, probably to Old Trafford given his affiliation with them, but I really hope that when that day comes, it’s off the back of a stellar career with us. Time will tell. |

Well he might not be your Messiah but I’m pretty sure to the majority of us he has been.
All this crap about if he stays he’s reputation has been tarnished is absolutely bullish@t in my opinion!
He, or the club, have said nothing about this whole media driven frenzy as has always been the case since MA came in.
Whether you consider that a good thing or otherwise cut the guy some slack.
At this moment in time he’s our manager and he has delivered on every single aspect over the last 2 years something prior to which I would’ve never believed possible. |

It’s astounding how people are turning on the lad and yet absolutely nothing of any substance has been revealed!
Listen to people who work and know him and he comes across as a man with integrity and honour so to hear all this garbage questioning those traits is quite simply, staggering.
Folk have extremely short memories and exceptional expectations. He is never going to stay with us indefinitely because however much you might disagree, there are much bigger clubs out there who offer the status we could never compete with.

A point raised on the Leeds game, Martin has said the most important games for them now are the playoffs. He has backed that up by his team selection against Stoke and subsequent result, so I’m not sure that they’ll be overly concerned about the game on Saturday. Of course there’s professional pride to think of and the balance of resting too many of your first 11 but all in all, I’m only expecting Leeds to get the 3 points. |
