McBurnie would clearly only be a distant backup to Hirst, hence why Swansea might be a better prospect for him.
This is the problem though isn't it? Hard to bring in a quality striker when they know they will likely be backup and we only play one up front. Unless we look for someone promising enough to challenge Hirst. |

I know the odds aren't great if Brentford or similar come knocking but this is one player I really don't want to see move. Will absolutely tear the Championship a new one. Only positive spin is at £35 million that's probably decent business as money to spend elsewhere. |

Good luck to him however it turns out. I think he could enjoy a 'reset' with us in the Championship but maybe it's not to be. Statistically still our best keeper, though you wouldn't know it the way some fans were so quick to turn on him. |
