| News Comment | McCarthy: Second Goal Put Game to Bed at 08:29:52
"Promote" MM to "Director of Football" - ignore him till his contract runs out - get rid of 2 or 3 fringe players to pay for a new manager - job done! |
| News Comment | Sixties Midfielder Hegan Dies at 07:34:09
Walked passed him in a Birmingham shopping centre 2009ish but didn't realise it till a few minutes later. Once saw his name in a newspaper team list as Gehan and thought we had signed a new player! Mercurial player. RIP. |
| News Comment | Town 1-1 Barnsley at 09:36:10
Lack of quality throughout. Cresswell's long ball punts to the forward line would have done his chances of moving to the Premier League serious harm. I thought Barnsley's McCourt looked like a midfield general of some developing quality - worth a punt even though he was taken off? We shouldn't be playing Skuse and Hyam in the same team - no creativity. |

Totally agree with this article - spot on. I became disillusioned last season for the very reason highlighted here. My other yardstick is "If all the squad were put up for sale today, how many would go to Premiership clubs?" My answer is one - Cresswell. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Too Many Loans at 07:04:06
Absolutely spot on MM. How can you develop team spirit with a revolving front door? IMHO this has been the root cause of yet another bad season. We need a squad of players half of which could cut it in the Premiership and the other half "up and coming". We are light years away from that. |

| News Comment | Jewell: Priskin Move Calculated Risk at 13:43:27
Bad move. Priskin inability to score will derail Swansea's promotion push enabling the Budgies to gain promotion. Get him back! :-) |

Is this the same Paul jewell who led derby on a 14 match winless run? Hope he has a clear out. |

I remember at the time being gutted that Robson didn't buy Derek Hales instead. That's why Robson managed England and I didn't! |
| News Comment | Keane: It\'s Like Groundhog Day at 09:17:00
Does RK realise we could be playing Rochdale in a league match come August? Make him stay and get us out of this mess! |
| News Comment | Keane: We Need Killer Instinct at 11:36:08
Svendusts striker analysis is a tad weak: Priskin is technically poor (first touch, persistent off side -Watford must be doubled up laughing) Stead - it doesn't matter how he scores - he scores! Walters - agree not a striker - wide midfield only Pablo - a great footballer but doesn't score enough - a luxury in a struggling team Wickham - if he's that good play him! Martin - wide midfield only. Need to sell all but Stead and Wickham for now and invest in a striker soon. African Nations Cup soon and the big boys will be hoovering up any talent around. |
| News Comment | Keane: Finishing Let Us Down at 09:35:37
For once Keane is right, the lack of goals is causing the pressure. Given that we have drawn 7 it could be said that with a half decent striker, some of those draws could have been turned into wins. When a team goes one or two goals down, it inherently changes their playing style as they "chase the game" thus causing more gaps to appear. The fact that RK signed Priskin who was never, ever prolific at Watford, means he's got the wrong guy in. Unless he can bring in a decent striker on loan in the mean time is questionable and where he needs to show his mettle as a manager. |
