Skuse Targeting Quicker Than Expected Return
at 07:43:19

It's sad that he had to play under McCarthy for so long. Imagine if he'd had that time under Lambert. Even though we're bottom, he's been able to express himself a lot more and is producing the passes we all know he is capable of.

Regardless of our league position, I'm glad MM departed. Players like Sears, Lankester and Skuse have shown what could have been if the tactical approach has been more positive.

Hurst: It Was Always Going to Be Tough Against Leeds
at 09:02:43

I'm likely the only person on here that is supporting PH through this difficult time. Feel luck has evaporated just when he needs it most. On top of that, the owner has also dissapeared, surprise surprise.

Having watched the game, I agree with PH that "it would have been a tough evening for most teams". With confidence so low, it's even harder to go to a place like Elland Road and put on a 'pretty' performance.

I feel he has three games to prove himself. I'll be at Millwall on Saturday supporting my team and hopefully most others on here will do the same.

Anybody that thinks Matt Holland, George Burley, Mick Mills etc can do a better job is deluded. Having loyalties to the club doesn't make you a good manager.

Now to rid myself of the negativity that is the TWTD forums.

Hurst Planning Changes at Leeds
at 14:00:34

Feel the comments on here are a tad harsh. How many of you know what is actually going on behind closed doors?

Until Saturday, I felt there were positives to be taken from most matches and still believe we need time to flush McCarthy's legacy out of the club.

I'll support PH as long as he is the manager, but feel Marcus Evans needs to step up and decide whether football is a business he wants to be involved in. I understand it's his money, but football clubs considerably impact the mood of a local community. He needs to review whether his involvement benefits the town or whether his financial situation allows the club to compete.

Hurst: 2-0’s a Dangerous Scoreline
at 21:32:14

Find myself writing posts out several times, as I really don't know what to say to all the negative posters on here. The guy has been in charge for 10 championship games and yes, we haven't won yet, but there have been positives.

You're likely the same people that were calling for MM's head, so at least give PH time to settle in. Always hoped Ipswich fans weren't as fickle as the rest of the footballing world, but seems that was in vain.

Teams post-MM seem to struggle and that could be down to the replacement chosen, but it could also be down to the amount of restructuring needed to get a side playing actual football again.

You've heard the positive comments from the players regarding their fitness and the new style implemented in training, so let's just hang on in there and support our team until and after that first win.

Walters Out for Six Months
at 18:33:00

What the hell is wrong with the majority of posters on here? PH isn't the one this club would be better off without, it's you people.

We're supposed to be supporters. Seriously, get a grip.

Also, have any of you got the faintest idea what has happened behind closed doors? No, so just be quiet.

If you want to be part of a team that wins everything and has it easy, go and follow Man City. Idiots.

Hurst: Lads Showed a Lot of Character
at 07:05:37

ronnyblue, what's the point in being so negative?

Ultimately, one of the issues we've had is that the players haven't received enough support over the last few years. Are you really saying that you'd like to re-visit a days off Michael Chopra and Lee Martin??
Feel as if certain fans have short memories. PH has come in and made wholesale changes, not only to the playing staff, but to the facilities as well. These changes were based on what he had scene at his previous league 1 & 2 clubs. What does that say about our previous management?

To come from behind against one of the best sides in the division, who have spent a considerable amount more shows that there's something there and I believe that in time, things will come good.

In short, support your team.

Town Continue Search for First Win as High-Flying Brentford Visit Portman Road
at 07:43:07

Will be watching this one on TV tonight.

Fully supporting PH. Apart from Hull on Saturday, all the other matches have been an improvement on MM's playing style and re the seemingly disliked "one up front", the 4-3-3 formation can actually be incredibly attacking minded if played with confidence, but that's obviously lacking atm.

Way too early to panic, but it's hard for PH when the same fans calling for MM's head are now giving him a hard time. Do everyone a favour and bury the negativity, it doesn't help.
