Could you elaborate on “new generation mega ones” and what you mean? What size are you talking about? What efficiency output etc etc? You seem an ‘expert’ so I am curious to know more off your knowledge? |

Speaking to a couple of Wednesday fans who members of my cricket club tonight. They said put your mortgage of them going down as it’s a sure thing. They’re more worried about the clubs’s future |

Really? How many Ipswich games have you watched? Birmingham away and the fact he hardly had a chance to play means his name shouldn’t be anywhere near this thread. |

‘Lesser international grounds’ - have you ever been to Trent Bridge? I’ve had far more fun watching international cricket there than I ever have at Lords - and it’s affordable. And as to the point to why are we playing them? As one of the retired internationals said today - Broad I think - how are they ever going to get better if they don’t play games against the top tier sides. They’ll never know what’s needed. Having said all that the bowling was woeful but at least it gives England players time in the middle. |

So you can still watch them for free, you just can’t be bothered to download an app in order to do so. Plenty of football things to moan about but this isn’t one of them. |

Errr no! The narrative, as the posts on this thread point out if you’d bothered to read them, is that we simply weren’t good enough, and we weren’t. |

Loads of West Ham had also left early that day too. I thinkthat was an exception given it had been documented before hand that it takes an age to get out after a game. In the end, because so many had left early we didn’t have any problems getting out at the end of the game and I was in my car at Epping station by 5.45 |

I gave the Forest one framed on my wall. Bought and framed the Man Utd one for my eldest son for his 18th in April, among other things. I like this one too, but not enough to buy. Shame they couldn’t have continued being the programme covers - a clear example of ‘modern football being rubbish’ with sponsors having a say over designs |

Yeah it’s becoming very troublesome. A ‘suggested for you’ historical site with a picture of Himmler picking mushrooms on holiday in 1942 - together comments including “God bless the reichsfuhrer”, which was not in anyway being ironic. The only use it seems to have for me is reminders of things I’d forgotten about from years ago. |

Absolutely this. It’s a beautiful day here in Ilkley, so what should I do? Spend 8 hours in a car for game that is little more than a glorified friendly or enjoy the sun? My ticket and my sons’ are on resale. |
 | Forum Reply | Been told that at 14:43 8 May 2025
Everton was my last game. The thought of the 8 hour round trip on Saturday for a meaningless game, with another 4 hour journey on Sunday for my son’s cricket, did it for me. Leicester and West Ham are both Sundays so cannot do because of cricket. Put in plenty of miles home and away this season and will again next so don’t really care what anyone thinks about not going to the next three games. |
 | Forum Reply | One positive next season at 20:34 5 May 2025
You do realise you can do both, and a whole host of other things? If people went to away grounds only on the expectation of an away win; it would be a very dull experience. It’s the fact we’re not expecting to win away a lot of the time that makes away wins so special, but you clearly don’t seem to get that. |
 | Forum Reply | One positive next season at 18:47 5 May 2025
Thanks for the reminder, there’s even more away games to go to next season that can be posted about on here. Shame we can’t CC you in like a email when they’re posted as you obviously take note of them. |

And for me too. Great way (almost) to finish my away travel this season - can’t do Leicester because of cricket commitments. It was also a strange feeling knowing we’d never be going to Goodison again. |

A lot of the tier below turned and applauded us - don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a similar situation. And several wished us all the best as we walked to the Metro. I’m a bit biased as I went to Uni there and have nothing but fond memories of the place and it’s people. |
 | Forum Reply | Newcastle away games at 18:08 25 Apr 2025
I was there in 92-92 - there were so few of us in the corner of the Leazes end that I could clearly see myself in the highlights on the end of year video. |
 | Forum Reply | Blimey - Sheffield Wednesday might not be competitive next season then at 13:55 17 Apr 2025
Yes, that was every single Wednesday fan on the planet. Do you actually know anyone who supports Wednesday? Do we deserve to go into administration because some of our fans attacked a pensioner and put him hospital last season at Cardiff? No of course we don’t. Every club has some idiots because in life there are idiots but you don’t blame a whole fanbase for a handful of fools. |
