I'd put Tuanzebe in Tier 1. Otherwise pretty much agree |

The worst thing for me is that the season feels so disjointed. There are such big gaps between home games and the match days/times are all over the place with hardly any midweek games. I have no interest in watching other teams play in the Europe so I feel like I'm not getting much of a football "fix" :( |

I thought it was very interesting how little we played out from goal kicks yesterday. Is this a decision from KM that we don't have the personnel for it? Or maybe he wants Palmer to be bedded in first. That said, I thought we looked so much more comfortable playing out with Woolfy at centre half, albeit Spurs press was less intense in the second half |

Bruges is dead easy in the car. Take LeShuttle and turn left at Calais, it's an hours drive. Lovely place, I'd highly recommend it. |

Really interesting idea. I agree that he's not really solid enough defensively for RB/RCB but definitely has qualities going forward. I still think that he needs to develop in terms of his positioning and recovery when our attacking play breaks down. For me, Wes is really good at tracking back and offering defensive cover to avoid opposition overloads. I've also noticed recently that Burns has been more and more of a focus aerially for the long ball. Could Clarke offer the same? It really seems to help take the pressure off Delap. |

There were rumours recently of a potential loan move to Sheff Wed but it seems to have gone quiet since then. Has anyone seen or heard any more news regarding a possible move for him in this window? |

I think that we will be tighter at the back than for the City game, the players will have learned a lot and will have worked hard on defensive shape this week. It seems to me that our undoing at this level is often an inability to deal with turning the ball over high up the pitch and then getting caught on the counter. We sometimes just lack a bit of precision in our build up play but hopefully some of the new faces in the squad will start to add extra quality in terms of ball retention. Guaranteed that, unlike some of us fans, the players will not be looking beyond Liverpool and will be 100% dialled in. I predict a tight game 1-0, 1-1 or 0-1. |

My issue is not so much that teams adopt these tactics but more that the PL & referees do nothing to discourage it. If a player goes down and the referee allows play on but then halts play at the end of the phase or after a prolonged period then, in my opinion, the physios should have to come on and the player leave the pitch for the designated amount of time (1 min?). If it happens persistently then the ref should ensure sufficient time is added on at the end. 4 or 5 substitutions last night, 2 goals, 5-6 prolonged stoppages, time wasting and stop/start at corners. There should have been 10-15 mins added time! That said, I don't believe we would have got back into the game, Brighton were just a bit too good for us last night in terms of tactics, know how and firepower off the bench. |

I thought that Mick Mills made a really interesting point on the radio after the game. He was basically saying that with Lief playing so far forward, Burge effectively plays as a left back to cover the space. This means O'Shea and Clarke both shuffle across leaving huge gaps for the opposition to exploit. I realise that Clarke has limitations but this often leaves him exposed with too much to do. Mills was suggesting we should go to 3 centre halves, O'Shea, Greaves and Burge. It made a lot of sense to me. Interested in others thoughts |

Even if he goes down, I don't think the foul would be given elsewhere on the pitch. And isn't the threshold supposed to be higher for a foul in the box? |

Ipswich Town 2 Wigan Athletic 1 21/12/2004 Portman Road Thunderbastard from Leighton Baines. It started snowing and Benty scored the winner in the last minute. We all went home singing "Top of the league on Christmas Day" Top game under the lights (Obviously wayyy before McKenna) [Post edited 22 Nov 2024 17:52]

Does anyone know how Fotis Ioannidis has been performing so far this season? I wonder if we might go back in for him at some point... |

As a north Essex boy, I would agree and I think it's true for many Town fans who live south of Ipswich. I've always seen West Ham and Spurs as the teams I really want us to beat. I barely ever come across any Norwich fans day to day - wish I could say the same about West Ham and Spurs :) |
