Rotherham United 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:20:31

Two blatant penalties. Embarrassing from the officials. If the ref doesn’t see it the lino should be there to help. Robbed of 2 points.

McKenna: Season Won't Fizzle Out
at 21:32:54

Keep the faith. Cook didn't work out - on paper he should have done. McKenna is a shrewd appointment and, let's be honest, the season was always going to be an uphill struggle after that abysmal start against poor opposition - 3 points in 6 matches at the start of the season is just not good enough. Conversely McKenna has won 50% of his 20 matches (has only lost 30%) and unfortunately all the teams around us just haven't been dropping enough points. I honestly believe we can get it right for next season, although I agree this season is done and we should be using the remaining matches to plan for next season. COYB.

Town Takeover Completed
at 11:32:31

The fund has deep pockets, but by the nature of a pension fund will be fiscally responsible in the use of those funds. In order to meet its investment responsibilities, it will need to invest to secure Premier League status, and it has already committed to making substantial investment in both the club's playing squad and infrastructure.

Cook Gives Strong Hint Blues Will Switch Formation
at 14:43:44

Big changes in the Summer from Cook, I am sure. I am already a big fan of his. He is honest, transparent, straight-talking and willing to adapt his belief system and preferred playing style to grind out results, unlike his predecessor. Cook has inherited this team and he needs time from the club and us fans to bring about much needed change. COYB.

Wigan Athletic 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:18:38

Football should be entertaining save that sometimes you accept it's not entertaining for the purposes of grinding out a result. Ipswich are not getting results nor are they entertaining. We created absolutely nothing again today and held on to a point against Wigan. This group of players is not good enough, end of.

Just about “clinging on” to our 0-0 against Wigan. Had enough of this now. Created absolutely nothing again today.

Cook Ready to Offer Contracts
at 12:25:09

So if the above is true, we don't have a unilateral option to keep the likes of Jackson and Edwards (to name a couple). It's a shame because Ipswich may have been in a position to cash-in and recoup some of the transfer fee spent on them, if these players are surplus to requirements. Instead we have no bargaining position and they will likely leave on "frees". This happens all too often at Ipswich.

Fleetwood Town 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report

Fleetwood played well tonight but what I can't stand is they wanted it more than us. Paul Cook really has his work cut-out when players don't have the right attitude like the players he has inherited - I actually feel sorry for him.

Owner Evans on Cook, Lambert and Takeover Talk
at 01:51:22

I have been quick to criticise Marcus recently but he has gone some way to redeeming himself as far as I'm concerned. He made a mistake giving Lambert a 5 year contract, probably by his own admission, but he has owned his mistake and paid for it. You can tell from his message that he still cares for the club and I am impressed with how candid he has been about his disagreement with Lambert and giving the detail around the numbers. We have a good enough squad to get out of League 1 if managed correctly and I am going to stop moaning about Marcus, continue to support the club by watching every game on IFollow and get behind the team for the rest of the season. COYB.

Wilson: If We Keep Playing Like We Did Against Oxford We'll Be There or Thereabouts
at 18:12:48

Who is responsible for PR training at Ipswich these days? The utter rubbish coming from the mouths of the manager and players astounds me. They are not helping themselves and clearly lack any ambition. To say “there or thereabouts” is a disgrace. The “there” has even changed to the playoffs - I always understood the “there” to be automatic promotion. And now Sunderland have a new owner. This club is sinking quickly and we are in desperate need of a lifeboat.

What good is the playoffs when we can't beat a team in the top 10? The playoffs is a lottery (as all Ipswich fans know) and the odds are stacked against us.

Drinan: I Knew the Goal Would Eventually Come

Well done, Aaron. Never easy to score goals when the manager insists on playing one up top. Something to be celebrated but I think you'd be scoring more if you had some support and service up there.

Downes: It Was Never the Case That I Refused to Play
at 14:41:54

Downes was completely justified to put in a transfer request. As a fan, if I was playing for Ipswich and Palace came in for me I would have done the same. Football is a short career and those opportunities don't come around often. Yes, Downes wouldn't have walked straight into the Palace side - he would have probably been loaned out by Palace (possibly back to Ipswich but more likely a Championship side) - but you can't blame the lad for wanting a pay-rise and a premier league club on his CV.

Edwards: We Understand Fans' Frustrations
at 15:32:25

Gwion Edwards is our top goal scorer with 5 goals (good for a winger) in comparison to Charlie Wyke of Sunderland who has 12 goals. Just letting that sink in. I can't be bothered to comment on the article itself - what's the point.

Ipswich Town 0-1 Peterborough United - Match Report
at 17:36:46

Simply not good enough. Zero creativity or threat going forward. The commentary on iFollow is starting to grate on me - they seem to think we are unlucky but you have to create your own luck in football. Ipswich are in League 1 and they are not good enough for League 1, let alone competing for promotion - it's embarrassing. The three subs made a difference but too little too late. The club needs a serious shake-up.

Why make the subs as late as we have in the game? They are having an impact but we haven't given them enough time (fear it's too little too late).

Owner Evans Presents Cheque to NHS

I don't post often but decided to against this article. The lack of comments just shows how we are too quick to find the negatives all of the time and criticise - I guess that's human nature. Praise where praise is due - well done Mr. Evans.
