Pencilpete. Get ur facts straight. He started his career as a right wing back. And moved forward to become a winger. Can play left as well, as like many right footed players, likes to be able to cut in on his right foot. But is basically a right winger/wing back.

Sunderland Make Garbutt Formal Contract Offer
at 13:22:05

Therein61. And theres the perfect example of some1 who reads the headline and nothing of the story, and comments based on that headline. For1, he hasnt signed for anyone. Hes been made an offer. And very likely wont be the only 9ne hes made. Then you say we dont bother. If ud read the story ud have seen weve been talking to him ever since our season finished. And no, we may not be able to afford him. Tho if we cant, I dont see how sunderland can with their financial issues. Of course, he may be willing to settle for less to go there as it's closer to home. Personally, I'd rather we went for the colchester left back anyway. After a decent start, I dont think Garbutt was that much better than anyone else.

MK Dons Confirm Keogh Signing
at 13:06:51

Bluearmy81. Total bull. I'm not accepting of it at all. But please tell me, what good is constantly slagging the club off on sites such as this doing? Those who apparently want to do something about it( marcus Evan's out group), do nothing but that for I stance. They arranged a protest before a game this season, and not 1 of them turned up. If fans want to do something about it then great. But do it, not just whinge on here and fb. To say Evan's hasnt invested in the club tho, is just the usual pathetic rubbish. Hes invested well in advance of £100m, and without him wed have gone under after this virus. Doesnt mean I dont want him to go. I do. But 7until some1 comes in with a suitable offer we're stuck with him. So my point is, why not just get behind the club for now. Rather than just slag them off. Trust me, if we mess it up next season, I'll be the 1st to complain

MK Dons Confirm Keogh Signing
at 11:57:48

Bluearmy81, Arnie m. Think ur both missing the point of Cheshire blues comment. Yes, we all know how far weve fallen, and none of us are happy about it. But if u were a fan, u wouldnt just constantly moan and whinge. Look up the meaning g of support. Dont think you'll find anywhere in the definition, constantly slagging off the club. And what makes it funnier, is a few days ago, when it was announced, we were interested in keogh, mostfans including you, said we shouldn't sign him. Now its posted that hes gone elsewhere, and you use this post to slag the club off. Pathetic. That's not support. A true supporter is proud to be a fan of his club, regardless of where they are. Doesnt mean ur accepting of the situation. But it's our club, and will always be the best club in the world. Even when things on the pitch are as dire as they are now. Really believe we have the only fans who simply desert the club, just bcse things are going badly. Why not do what I'm doing. Put the past behind you, theres nothing to can do about that, and put some positive energy into the future. I'm sure if things font go well this next season, we'll all be making our feelings known. But up till then, let's just get behind them.

Town Keen on Keogh
at 21:54:23

Midastouch. Dont disagree with what ur saying as such, but unlike Collins, keogh doesnt have a big injury history. Simply this injury from the car crash. So not quite the same issue. Plus, stepping down a division, he should be more than capable. But, yes, I so think its be a risk, and maybe another option would be for the best. If, of course, theres anything in this story anyway

Town Keen on Keogh

What's really amazing, but not surprising for many of those who post on here, is that what's being said " hes too old"? Hes 33. Yet those same people have for the past 3 years, saying we should have resigned Murphy. Who is now 38. So was 35 when suggesting we should resign him. Obviously, the injury is a concern, but if fit, would be a great signing. Would undoubtedly help Woolfenden, having him playing alongside him. And unlike some older players weve signed in the past, who were simply out for a last pay day, he would care, being a town fan himself. But of course, much would depend on the injury situation.

Sam white. Did you read the whole story? Clearly says hes happy here, and with another potential 2 years of his contract to go, theres no hurry. Hd prob just wants to wait and see how things go here before deciding whether he wants to sign a new deal.

Waghorn: Town Move Worked Perfectly For Me
at 20:57:59

Londontractorboy57. The problem is that you are assuming if he was still here wed still be in the championship. That, I very much doubt. In his last 2 seasons we escaped by 4 points, and then finished 17th, only due to a couple of results towards the end of that season. It was just a matter of time before we fell through the trapdoor. And it's not all because of the lack of money being spent, tho with frees and loans we were still spending money. The fact is, if u simply set out to not lose, you'll probably end up losing more than you win. It's also I'd say, a fact, that regardless of what's happened since his departure, that if he was still here, we wouldn't have been getting crowds of 20,000 these past 2 seasons. In fact, wed prob have struggled to get half that. At the end of the day, the past is exactly that. The past. It's time to forget all that and look to the future whatever that holds. Next season is possibly the most important season weve had for some years, and we all need to get behind the club, put the negative thoughts to one side, certainly for now, and back them hopefully to a very much needed successful season.

Find it amazing that so many fans still seem too have their facts wrong about jan2015. McCarthy was offered money in that window but refused it, as he was happy with the squad he had. So no, not one of Evans mistakes. Can see why McCarthy would have felt he didnt need to strengthen with the way things were going mind you. In his last but one season he actually spent the same as huddersfield, but while they got promoted, we escaped relegation by 4 points. And it was during that season, that Evan's made his biggest error of all. Not sacking McCarthy after the lincoln cup tie. Had he done so, the ill feeling that developed between him and many fans would never have developed. And remember, as much as McCarthy would like people to believe that all of the abuse was personal against him, it was almost entirely about his style of football, and him sending out the team, not to lose, rather than to try too win. It was the abuse that came back from him aimed directly towards the fans, something a professional should never do, that caused a small number of those disgruntled fans to get a bit more personal towards the very end, and that was unnecessary from those involved

Salary Cap Vote Delayed
at 12:45:25

Istanvlue. That's not entirely true. What the salary cap would do is make it a more even playing field. Would mean clubs like ourselves would not have an unfair advantage on the likes of accrington Stanley. The only issue with it is how they deal with the teams coming down from the championship. The way it's set out at the moment, those 3 teams would have a totally unfair advantage on every other team in the division. That has to be sorted before this cap is put in place

Salary Cap Could Be Put Back Until Next Year
at 14:11:06

Yes carberry. Theyve said that other clubs have not adhered to it. And we have done. But Evan's has stated quite clearly in interviews that he doesnt agree with it. Just bcse they adhere to it doesnt mean they agree with it. Just means they're not willing to risk the punishments for not doing so. And yes, in the past things have gone unpunished, but theyre not now. Which is why bolton and bury are where they are now. Why derby, and aheff weds are facing possible points deduction, why qpr were fined £42m. But as I say, why let facts stop you. I'll criticise him for things he deserves to be criticised for, but wont male things up, just to have a go.
