Bristol Rovers 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 09:30:37

have we started the same 11 two games in a row, seems every game 4 or 5 changes. Not sure if any other teams makes as many changes each game as we do, Can understand if playing badly and losing, We just don't have a settled team. play well and get good result, following week your out. I think Mckenna is trying to be too clever. the additions in Jan haven't helped, clouded the water more. however McKenna is still learning and most would have taken come Feb sitting fourth only lost 4, scoring more and playing good football. Because its better than the last 10 yrs. I doubt when he was appointed as an un-proven manager, the goal was set for promotion in one season. There would have been at least a three year plan.

Ipswich Town 0-0 Burnley - Match Report
at 10:25:48

This is proof of how far Ipswich have come, all those changes and it still wasnt a second string team. That team was good enough to start any league one game and proved that they can compete in the level above. Only issue was the playing out from goal kicks, Hldaky had a good game but the diving save he made was caused by how they played it out. Playing the ball left and right in own six yard box across the face of goal, is surely asking for trouble. . Burnley's attackers soon saw this and when it came to goal kick, they closed in quickly and it was very tight on more than one occasion. can he not kick the ball.

Clarke Returns to Town and Signs Three-and-a-Half-Year Deal
at 09:20:58

There you go, commented on this site Tuesday saying it was going to happen and most dismissed it. He's a great addition to the team and brought in ready, hopefully for Championship level football. Arsenal wouldn't have kept him on books for 8 years if they didn't think he could make it. Hopefully under our current management we can turn him into the finish player Arsenal hoped he could be. So good signs for us going forward, building a team ready for next level, rather than getting there buy hook or crook, and panic buying.

McKenna: No New Signings on the A12
at 18:05:55

The problem we now have, if we show interest or make an offer on any player who's currently doing well, a striker banging goals or midfielder that offers more. The club they are contracted to will know Town have money and ambition , so will instantly up the price, more so if they are a team we are competing against. We would all like to see a headline that town have brought a proven striker for
2/3 /4 million that will get the goals we are missing, but cant see that happening. Hopefully Mark Ashton who i believe is a very shrewd person will pull something out of his hat that we didn't expect. That said with all the money they are spending on everything else at the club, It looking more like it has too be this season, so maybe they will break the bank and buy that 2 or 3 million pound plus player.

McGreal Confirmed as Interim Manager
at 13:40:17

So if the current owners, directors are as professional and football savvy as they like to portray, something all town fans have been calling for, i cant see they have done this without a new man lined up.so maybe just still agreeing either terms with him or with the club he is currently at because it happened a week sooner than expected.

Town Sign Ex-West Brom Forward Edwards
at 14:06:29

Another great signing. It seems on paper we are building a team that should get out of league one but be competitive in the championship. If and when we get there. They just need time to learn to play together. hopefully that wont take too long, bit like when you bring all the players in for the national team at a tournament, difference being they have more time, not too long though hopefully and there will be disappointment along the way, but that will just be a few games here and there, not entire seasons that we have had to endure of late.

Ashton: Character is Key
at 12:37:11

Sir Bobby Robson built a team that gave us more than most clubs can talk about, George Burley built a team over years that took us to the premiership. It takes time, you very rarely can buy it.The club stuck with him and he had the club at heart so wasn't going anywhere else. My worry is Paul Cook will jump ship as soon as it doesn't happen or gets a better offer.Maybe just maybe we should have gone with someone who wanted to build a legacy.time will tell. either way looking forward to first game. it could be a changer for us.

New Community Award in Honour of Hope-Cobbold
at 12:20:20

Great idea, maybe each player could adopt a local kids football team. Not from an input of funding. Don't expect them to finance the team, but take an interest. Maybe just mention them now and then on social media, I'm sure the youngsters would love it. Then each Saturday home game they take it in turns to get invited to spend the day at the club and see what goes on before the game and then watch it. That way showing those young lads and ladies, what it means to be a pro and play for Ipswich. Maybe increase the fan base at a young age. And yes i know anything involving children and social media etc has to be done carefully, but not impossible and if the club wants to re-connect with the local Suffolk community, starting with kids football at local level is a good starting point.
