I haven't made it to a match yet this season as I live a long way off, but I take it he has a bottle he keeps in the back corner of the nets? I'd like to hear the North Stand break into this refrain when he takes a swig...
Hey Muccleton Joe, I couldn't agree more. I don't think we will get out of L1 quickly if we think we can play lots of different systems. Keep It Simple, Stupid - one system that works, where everybody knows their jobs, is all we need. If that means square pegs in round holes once in a while, I'm fine with that. We used to think that Chambers at RB was as low as we were going to sink, but we were wrong.
I'm the president of the European Vaccination And Nursing Society and the Order of Universal Tutelage. I'd like to see both organisations represented on the shirt, but maybe we could only fit the abbreviations in such a small space?
Saw him against Palace U23s and he was everywhere. Looking for the ball and doing something with it on the wings and through the middle. Was so confident, so hardworking. Scored a good goal. My greatest hope for ITFC next season is that he plays every week.
Bishop was okay, but hardly stood out. Woolfenden, the right back, was excellent, I thought. We have three now! Thought Blanchfield at No.8 did well, Nydam saw plenty of the ball but rarely found any space. Although Charlton are a club that last year were experiencing the kind of crisis we can only have nightmares about, their U23s are great - well-drilled, know exactly how they want to play and just went for it so much more. Although I'd agree Town were unlucky to lose by four, they were hesitant when the chances fell for them and, like the first team, it seemed that chances came almost when they least expected it - as if there isn't really a plan of attack. Much as I hate to say it, watching those young players today gave me the strong feeling that everything needs ripping up and starting again.
