Derby Linked With McGoldrick Move
at 10:13:25

Derby are like the Man City of the Championship, just trying to buy their way to the premiership. No one likes you, hands off our players!! I think mcgoldrick could be the difference between us going up this season, for that reason I wouldn't consider anything less than 5 mil, and even then, after consideration I'd politely tell them to do one!

Milne: Football League Must Stand Firm on FFP
at 21:06:41

Hopefully those claiming Evans is being tight and lacked ambition in January etc realise that he's simply following FFP. We all know he's an ambitious owner and I for one think we're very lucky to have him.

Very good player, just what we need in midfield and scores goals. Always thought we should go for him at the end of the season but didn't realise he was on a free! Can only see Fulham really challenging us

McCarthy Issues Hands-Off Warning
at 13:32:46

Marcus Evans is restricted by FFP, or don't know how much money he's allowed to spend but it won't be that much as it all depends on how much money we've got.coming into the club. As, apparently he's not gonna sell any big name players then that will be very little

Norwich City 3-1 Town (4-2 on Aggregate)
at 20:54:10

Such a shame, we were much better than them first half and got hit at the beginning of the second with an absolute barrage. Can't blame Berra, completely reasonable reflex action. Was never gonna happen with 10 men. But very proud of a fantastic season, we probably have the most likeable bunch of lads in the whole of the football league, so proud!

To all those saying Evans needs to invest, his hands are tied I'm afraid by FFP, you need a a lot of money coming into the club to spend a lot of money! If we can get 7 minion for Tyrone and a few million from Cresswells 25 million move then Bob's your uncle! Mcgoldricks injury is probably a blessing in disguise for us as noone will want to pay what he's worth after he missed half the season, thought he looked a class above when he came on and if he stays injury free next season we could do very well.

I have a very good feeling about next season, if we can keep the core players and the spirit, add a little quality in some key areas then genuinely think we could get automatic with MM and TC at the helm. Onwards and upwards, COYB!!!

Blackburn Rovers 3-2 Town - Match Report

The second half shows how impressive we can be when we're not sitting back. Hopefully we'll play a bit more like that against the scum, plus a tightening of our leaky defence and we'll be at Wembley!
Just want to say a massive thank you to reading, when gestede scored the 3rd goal I was in despair, was sure derby would go onto win, but reading did an absolute job. Over the moon, well done boys, whatever happens now the season has been a success, very proud of the lads. We can play without fear in the play offs!

Fantastic win! BUT, a draw would have had us needing exactly the same result against Blackburn. A 3 goal difference is nothing, if we lose next weekend we won't make the play offs as Brentford will beat Wigan by more than a goal I'd imagine. I can assure you we are nowhere near guaranteed a playoff spot, if we don't get a result we're stuffed. No pressure lads.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Town - Match Report

Why is everyone so obsessed with looking nice? There's not a 'correct' way to play football, at the end of the day it's all about the goals, who cares how we get them.
But if you're so keen to understand why we play a lot of long balls don't blame the midfield, we've got some quality possession players in midfield; Skuse, Bishop, Bru etc. It's the defense that are the culprits, they are brilliant at defending but absolutely woeful in possession. The defense hoof it, if we played through the midfield we'd be playing better football, but instead we often miss them out all together. Don't get the hype around Mings as he is the worst culprit, he should be CB really. As I say, I'm not moaning as our style has got us to where we are, and quite like winding other teams up who think they are so superior. But that's the reason we play like we do.

Hate being a town fan sometimes, never easy is it! Must stop giving away silly goals it's very worrying. Let's try and consolidate on the results that went our way this week and give ourselves a bit of breathing space in the playoffs, ideally by putting some performances together and smashing wolves on saturday

Huddersfield 2-1 Town - Match Report

Let's face it, since the turn of the year we just haven't been good enough to get promoted, all other top 8 teams have been consistent, whereas we consistently dropped points against bottom half teams. If it weren't for that run around November December time we'd be bottom half. Don't give up hope just yet we're only 2 points off with a few games yet to play, but I see us dropping more points cos the standard just isn't there at the moment. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Fulham 1-2 Town - Match Report

While people were freaking out after Rotherham, I said that bad patch was just a blip and we'd get back on track. Today proved that, we have the quality to go up no question - and playing Bru, Bishop, Sears all in the same team (with Mcgoldrick to come in) looks very very formidable. Their keeper had a very good game today, Sears and Mings should have scored and were unlucky, I think the scoreline flatters Fulham to be honest.

Just 1 little gripe, we MUST cut out these defensive mistakes, because they have, nearly did today, and will continue to cost us. They will be the difference between automatic and play-offs. As such, I suggest putting Parr right back, and moving Chambers into Smith's position. If nothing else but to put a rocket up his @rse and cut out these mistakes.

said it after the Millwall, can't keep getting away playing this poorly, the performances haven't picked up since then, so the results have fallen. I'd bring Parr in for Chambers (good captain but not good enough on the ball), play Bish and Bru in the same team and get Ando out, who tries his best isn't up to it. Performances will pick up, we're just going through a bad patch, lets get behind the boys!

McCarthy Delighted With Win on Difficult Day

I too am thrilled with the win, as other teams around us mostly won so was absolutely necessary. Shout out to N.Hunt for his brace too. However there is a slight concern. Once again I feel we played poorly today and we're fortunate to be up against such appalling opposition. I remember when we were too of the league 10 years ago and we'd just won at the blades, Joe royle said we can't keep getting away with playing like this. Lo and behold we didn't get promoted. There's a slight feeling of that again this time round. Charlton dominated for large parts at Portman rode and we all know about our previous 2 games. I realise we didn't have a full strength team today but would really like a performance (as well as a result) against Brighton to put my mind at rest! It's not a moan as I know we're doing fantastically well! But at the same time we can't keep getting away with performances like this
