If Sargent and Sainz (or whatever his name is) both jump ship as expected think they could seriously struggle!
Big decision regarding who they persuade to be manager, get it wrong (as we did with Hirst a few years ago) and it will likely be a disaster!🤞 |

He’s obviously talented and going on to great things but agree I’ve found myself shouting “pass the f**king ball” quite a few times in recent matches, obviously his getting frustrated I guess but KM needs to have a chat with him! |

Defending set pieces has been one of our few strong points this season. Obviously a bad night on that score though, certainly will be an inquest! |

Even last season we were often susceptible down that side, it’s a consequence of the way KM likes to set up…risk and reward etc!
Never more evident than last Saturday. Think Godfrey was set up to fail to be honest…he was played out of position (isn’t he primarily a CB), he’s obviously a bit short of match sharpness, up against a World Class fast player….and then you just give him Philogene as covering help! |

Don’t usually watch as sick of usual coverage/bias from pundits etc. However watched on iPlayer this morning to see if criticism of Godfrey by fans (including myself) was really justified…at the game like most, I thought he looked way off the pace and Son had him on toast!
Probably the above was the case, however Murphy highlighted our defensive shortcomings across the back four as well as our set-up (4 rather than 5 at the back). Davis certainly lost Johnson for both first two goals, Woolfy I think showed and allowed Kulusevski to shoot with his much stronger left foot…Murphy even suggested it was ‘disrespectful’ to have played 4 at the back rather than 5 against Spurs!
Not so sure about the last point but maybe KM got it a bit wrong yesterday as Godfrey was exposed! This season has been a big learning curve for him , too late I fear for this season, but IF KM stays and IF we bounced straight back up I suspect he’ll be better manager for this experience!

Read earlier that Man Utd paid an incredible £72 million for that Hojlund! Think it’s odds on we’ll lose Delap in the summer whichever League we’re, so we should be looking for a similar fee surely? Or will our hands be tied by this blessed ‘Buy-back’ clause? |

Totally agree! Hutch’s end product has been poor this season, beats one, beats two…loses it to the third! Even Delap, as good as he played today, several times in that second half he looked to shoot when there were better options. |

Around me in the West stand there were a lot of young kids who don’t often have the opportunity to go to matches like most of us old’uns did when we were young.
It was nice to see, they’re our fans of the future! Bless them several times in second half there were high pitched ‘Blue Army’ chants spreading around the West and Sir Alf stands, reminiscent of the old Wembley school boy internationals!!!! |

Lots of laughing around us when it happened, obviously would have been very different if the score was tight!
Felt really sorry for him as he probably knew it was the final nail in his Town career (for now anyway)! Confidence is a funny thing though, remember Kieffer looked way off the level when with us first time round, went on loan, scored a few, five years later he was a different player! |

Big boys will obviously be sniffing around next summer! Widely reported City have a buy back option but anyone know if it’s been mentioned what fee would trigger that? You hope it would upwards of £50 million! |
