 | News Comment | Muric Linked With Serie A Move at 13:45:01
Maybe they won't be playing the fancy playing out from the back style of football that caused some of his issues. Think premier league teams are too savvy to allow a team like us to get away with that style for the whole '100 minutes' of a game. Think he would be great for a Forrest type team. Keep it simple but direct and fast. Good shot stopper but scary when passing into the midfield. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Linked With Trabzonspor at 16:54:01
Would have hoped for a little bit of loyalty bearing in mind we gave him a contract whilst injured so that he could prove himself. Guess it all depends on how much money and length of contract offered. Excellent player when not injured. If he goes, we move on. That's football at our level. |
 | News Comment | Delap Chelsea Move Edging Closer at 14:47:46
I can partly understand where your coming from Baldman, however he will be in teams where defenders will have multiple players attacking them rather than the almost solo furrow he had to plough with us this season. Should give him a bit more space on occasions. I'd be more concerned about the amount of playing time he may get. It won't help him if he is limited to 20 minutes cameos every week. Wish him all the best and we will move on to another era. |
 | News Comment | Town Bookies' Early Favourites For Championship Title at 17:04:58
Lazy betting companies. They probably had Luton as a favourite this time last year. Leicester would obviously be favourites if it wasn't for the chance that they get penalised. However, they will no doubt wriggle out of it. I've got a funny feeling Southampton will get their act together. We should be well within the playoffs if our recruitment is right. All depends on who the premier league new boys decide to pinch from our squad. Not sure Omari has done enough yet to convince a bottom half Prem' team to make a sufficient bid. His time will come shortly. Davis's stock has fallen. He has been the biggest disappointment for me this season. His confidence looks shot. Doubt we will have to entertain sales for silly fees like we would have done in previous times. Knowing we were getting relegated so early may just have been a blessing in disguise. At least the planning should already be in place. Just have to wait for the expected sales to take place before we can get the right bodies in. Think Jack Clarke will score a fair few next season. Looking ahead I don't know how we build a squad even stronger that's better prepared for the Prem' if we go up. Certainly need to recruit stronger, bigger and fitter for midfield and front line otherwise we could become the next yo yo team. |
 | News Comment | Season Tickets Up 10 Per Cent at 15:47:47
Speaking to my arsenal and spurs mates. If we got anything like their pricing then I would complain. Some of their tickets are extortionate. Admittedly you expect ars to win most weeks (not so much now with spurs). But I still prefer supporting a local club with it's high and lows. Hard to forget the feeling this time last year when we finally got promoted after all those periods of mediocrity. Hopefully get another crack at it next year. Happy to pay the increase. Follow the town up and down. |
 | News Comment | Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 19:04:32
This season it doesn't matter how we win as long as we do. Would love us to be dominant for 90 mins but let's get real. Two years ago we would be on to a hiding playing premier league teams. Now we are adjusting and on getting points as and when available. We are at bare bones up front so any result pre Jan window is appropriated. Be interesting to see what the boss comes up with next week without our two recognised strikers. Might just confuse Newcastle as they will have no idea of our intended formation. Up or down COYB |
 | News Comment | Seven December and January Games Move at 20:24:47
As a season ticket holder who has to work Saturday's, this has done me a favour. Several games I would have missed are now on Sundays. I know this doesn't suit everyone. |
 | News Comment | Sears Joins Braintree at 16:33:56
Work with a daggers fan. Said he added nothing and didn't track back. Not surprised he has been released. Should be ripping up the lower divisions even at age 34. Guessing he will retire at the end of the season. |
 | News Comment | Broadhead in Team of the Week at 20:15:25
Apparently he played a blinder despite all the goals he conceded. Shows just how bad the team around him are. |
 | News Comment | Paul Mariner: Rock and Roll Footballer at 20:13:38
I was lucky enough to witness Paul and many others of the team come on stage as backing singers for Ian Gillan durin his Gillan Band gig at the Ipswich Gaumont. Can't remember which song but have a feeling it was Birn to Kill as it has a brilliant faster chorus section half way through. Definately a book to buy. |
 | News Comment | Celina Out for Three Months With Pericarditis at 19:20:47
Had this last year. Spent over a week in Basildon hospitall heart unit. They initially thought I had a heart attack. Was tested in hospital for covid but negative. Starting to wonder if they used the rubbish Chinese lateral flow tests and maybe covid had set it off as my heart was in excellent health prior. Wish him a full recovery. |
 | News Comment | Lambert: If Change is Going to Come Everyone Has to Be Involved at 20:27:31
Receiving an annual share of tv rights may sound attractive now but that income will fall if the greedy six enter a european super league or are allowed to arrange their own pay to view channels. If they gain more power whats to stop them amending future income streams for their own gain. The NFL may have its faults but st least every year the worst team gets to pick tge best young talent and thus gives each team a chance to shine. |
