TWTD Readers' Donations Pay For Battery For Suffolk Punch Trust
at 19:10:31

Well done to TWTD for arranging this to everyone who has made a contribution - sorry to bang on about this, but as I've said before, this really should be something that ITFC should make a LARGE contribution towards, for very obvious reasons - come on Mr Ashton!

Skipper Morsy Handed One-Match Ban
at 17:22:36

I've just watched the first 90 seconds of the Boro game back again and Morsy catches their No 10 with studs up - a clear yellow IMO. Good job the ref was lenient. And there were other fouls in the game. Sam shows that he can control himself when he wants/needs to - might I humbly suggest that he tries to do this all the time and is therefore not constantly on the brink of a ban? We have a sports-psych on the payroll don't we?

Ashton to Set Up Foundation to Help Underprivileged Children in Suffolk
at 17:54:32

Many thanks for your humility and generosity Mark - the very best of luck with your foundation. And our sympathies for the loss of your dad last year. An interesting comment about the horse, with which we can all identify. However, the Suffolk Punch is, as far as I'm aware, still critically endangered and I would really like to see the club make a landmark contribution to its survival. I hope the club is working on this with the Suffolk Punch Trust and that there's an important announcement soon.

Duff: Frustrating, Elements of Our Game Were Excellent
at 18:22:32

"...a mad 15 minutes" aka "we were battered for most of the first half and could very well have been 5 or 6-1 down by half-time". Somewhat ungracious by Duff at the game and afterwards. I couldn't help but notice his perfunctory handshake with KMc at the final whistle - just like he was at Barnsley. Not Kmc's sort of person I don't think. Delusional - we know what that looks like and where it leads. Good luck SCFC, you deserve better.

And has been mentioned by lots of other people, plenty of learning points for us - KMc was very unhappy with our performance after their red card and rightly so. May have been an interesting review process at training today!

Town Confirm Williams Loan Signing
at 13:50:41

The very best of luck to Greg Leigh, who never let us down. Much too good not even to be on our bench quite a lot of the time. Many thanks Greg, you played an important part in our promotion last season. And welcome to Brandon Williams - as previously stated, Brandon Williams is a Blue...

Pint for the Punch Campaign
at 07:49:56

This has got to be one for the club too, surely? The club make a lot of money out of merch with the logo on - come on Mr Ashton, you could make a major contribution to something totally iconic pretty easily!

Bolton Wanderers 0-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:52:24

Just watched the full highlights from y'day. As everyone has said, a very good all round performance, with Hirst's goal the highlight for me.

The only think I would say would be how a few of the players seemed to let their frustration with the ref get the better of them in the lead up to the penalty, and even afterwards, especially Woolfenden. All that could have cost us. In all likelihood, there will be similar moments in the remainder of the season. That IMO is the major learning point from y'day, as KMc has pointed out.

Oh and BTW - just noticed another section at Barnsley has been opened up for us. COYB!

MK Dons 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:24:09

A good performance and a very pleasing win! Not sure how we didn't score a few more second half. I thought the ref was probably the best we've had all season, so many thanks to her. And if there were more than 7K Dons fans there, I'm a Dutchman. And such a nice stadium to go to - a pity there's never anyone in it. Hopefully, we can follow up with a few more wins. COYB!

MK Dons Tickets Sell Out Again

I think it would be nice to know exactly why we haven't been given more tickets - this allocation sold out before going on general sale, indicating a significant number of people not being able to get a ticket!

Life's a Pitch Live From Beamback With Ball, Ashton and Milton
at 20:45:00

I'd be interested to know how the beamback is allowed, as it's 15:00 on a Saturday. And yes, it is a good idea IMO, especially at £6 plus the freebies. I imagine this doesn't cover the costs, so many thanks ITFC!

More Tickets For Town at MK
at 20:37:23

Why not just give us as many as we want? After all, we are ITFC not Millwall. Not doing this runs the risk of Town fans in the home sections and it looks like it is still pretty easy to register on the MK site and purchase as many tickets as you want! Also, I'd be interested to know how many tickets they gave SWFC in August, as there seemed to be a lot from the TV footage.

Town Request Additional MK Dons Allocation
at 16:23:03

Also, from TV highlights, looks like they gave SWFC a lot more than what we've currently been allocated, so I'm sure more to follow. Also, I seem to remember a lot of people going to FA Cup games at Nottingham Forest and Luton in the early 1980s.

Town Request Additional MK Dons Allocation

Wouldn't it be good if we could beat last year's total of 6,850? Hopefully MK will give us sufficient tickets for everyone who wants to go. Seems like their average attendance this year is circa 8,000. There's more of us than you... COYB!

Blue Action to Trial Cobbold Stand Move
at 20:11:30

A good idea worth a go IMO. If it cranks the noise up a bit, then that's a good thing. Also, as Taricco Fan says, Mark Ashton has mentioned the idea of the re-introduction of "safe standing" into the stadium somewhere. The obvious place would be the lower deck of the North, where presumably, this would increase the capacity and therefore the noise and colour - anybody know anything more about that?

Bumper Home Crowd For Boxing Day Clash
at 13:46:10

IMO the only thing which will stop this is a rule-change to allow a free-kick to be awarded for time-wasting. And what about a corner if the goalkeeper does it, as they usually do? BTW - I thought the ref at Wycombe did his best with that. We saw it in the World cup too, so it applies at all levels. It could be argued that it is the single most important thing that could be done to improve football as a spectator sport. Is it even on FIFA's radar? I doubt it very much.

McKenna: Fleetwood Goal Unfortunate and Undeserved For the Efforts the Players Put In
at 10:41:02

Unfortunate yes, undeserved, absolutely not - was he watching a different game to the rest of us? And to say that is being disrespectful to Fleetwood, who performed extremely well in the second half IMO. Is he beginning to feel the pressure a bit? And if he told the team at any stage in the second half to "manage the game out", I think he may need to reflect on that. I think we just need to give it full beans until we are at least two goals up at home, three away! However, we remain second in the division, which we would gladly have accepted at the start of the season. Reflect, learn, improve. COYB.
