With the best will in the world I will never see the point of signing McAteer.

McKenna: I'd Liked to Have Kept Broadhead
at 16:04:28

^^ TubbyToast

You're right it feels very like 2002/03. The team spirit of the last three years seems to have dissolved alarmingly, just like then. I think Morsy going is key too, much like Matt Holland then too. Not convinced at his replacement either, doesn't seem to have that captain aura about him.

Luongo Completes Millwall Move
at 18:10:53

OK so we've lost not one but ALL FOUR of our best midfielders (Morsy, Luongo, Cajuste & Phillips) and somehow we're clear 4-1 favourites to win the league. Sometimes I don't understand how bookies make their money.

Cajuste's Besiktas Move Still in Question
at 18:37:39

Don't really want him, my impression over the season was that he was a skilful lightweight, probably best suited to a Premier League team a bit better than us. Don't think the Championship would suit him at all.

Absolutely daft transfer. Could have been a key player for us for the next five years.

Brentford Linked With McKenna Move Should Frank Depart For Spurs

Probably his last chance to get a Premier League job if for whatever reason things don't go well next season. I think he might well jump this time.

I think we sort of accepted that Fulham result as a good one, whereas in the great scheme of things it was a very bad one.

Sheeran Call Me Ted Poster Unveiled

I think I was actually more upset that these were taken off the front cover than I was with our relegation. A real stupid decision, and still no word of explanation from the club (which obviously means they are embarrassed about the reason).

My favourite player along with Gates and Muhren, and I've never felt closer to the club when he was managing (and David Sheepshanks was chairman). Great times.

McKenna: We're Better Prepared For the Championship Than We Were Two Years Ago
at 16:25:17

I'm not actually convinced we are actually. Some of our most effective players (midfielders) are really getting on now, one or two of our best players will leave, but most importantly we'll not have the high of a previous promotion, quite the opposite. Mind you, KM has confounded expectations before so hopefully he can do it again.

McKenna: We Know We're Going to Need to Win a Good Number of Games
at 17:16:28

Have to say, having just watched MOTD, Danny Murphy was right our defending was and is atrocious a lot of the time. We don't seem to 'learn' from that as the games go by. Perhaps we should play the away system for every game.
