I bought some tickets for the boxing day game and only had the option of restricted view seats.
Does anybody know just how restricted the view is from the seats in the SAR Upper? I'm assuming, as it's to the side next to the tunnel, it might just be the view of the corner flag?
the stick that Cook is getting from the numbskulls on Twitter and here really does beggar belief.
He inherited a team that had no style, couldn’t score and may as well have not bothered turning up against any top of the table sides.
Ok, he’s been backed financially and results haven’t been great.. but we’re half way through a season and up there with the top scorers in the league and had a couple of massive results against good sides. The biggest issues have been solved, now we just need to tighten up at the other end and we’ll be flying. Get a grip and get behind the team!
I know this won't be the first thread on this.. but I'm feeling, despite the exciting prospect of on-field improvements, a little bit uneasy about the thought of a takeover.
Whilst I acknowledge the fact that Evans has got so much wrong in his tenure as our owner, I genuinely believe he does have the best interests of Ipswich Town at heart and I don't worry for our future (at least financially!) whilst the club is in his hands.
What concerns me most is that if he sells to a consortium looking to make "quick money" a couple of years down the line, whether they would be so thorough and careful about who they would sell the club on to (of course, none of us know).
I guess it's a classic ITFC case of "Careful what you wish for"... based on the malaise of the past 14 years, can we dare to dream? We're certainly due a change of fortunes
Whilst respecting the superb job they did at Lincoln, I've never really been a fan of the Cowleys in terms of their style of football and also, to an extent, their personality. I'd argue they probably wouldn't have got Lincoln to where Michael Appleton has so quickly, though of course, we'll never know.
However, it was when watching Danny Cowley providing punditry on a Birmingham game and claiming "Yeah Jutkiewicz probably wanted that 'eader on the other side. We say footballers are right or left footed and I think he's the same with 'eaders" that really turned me off. Certainly wouldn't be my choice of next Ipswich manager!
Just spoke to a Charlton supporting colleague who tells me they have 0 fit centre backs. They played with Chris Gunter and Darren Pratley there on Tuesday and are expected to have the same pairing tomorrow.
That, combined with our lack of midfield options, could make an "interesting" game...
Personally, although I'd be frustrated whilst watching, I'd probably be more than happy to come away with a bad performance and a point in the bag - especially considering the players available for this one and the lengthy travel etc.
Can't see us getting a win, but would be a real statement of intent if we were to pick up 3 points
For all the rubbish that's been said on here in the past week about a very able deputy we have at LB who, by the way, is one of our own he's barely put at foot wrong in that first half. Great to see him prove the doubters wrong
Even more impressive considering he's completely nullified Blackpools star man of the season in CJ Hamilton
Just checked and Harry Wright is yet to make an appearance for GAIS. I wonder if he was signed for them as a back up keeper, as he's been on the bench for all their games since joining?
A good life experience nonetheless, though one may have hoped he may get some first team football (not to say he still won't)
Real lack of creativity tonight... but then we played with 5 centre backs (Donacien included in that, according to Lamberts assessment) and 3 central midfielders.
Well, just two more games to go in this decade. Whilst I may not have as many years as an ITFC fan under my belt as others on here, I certainly can't think of a worse decade to be a Town fan that last?
