That first 25 mins from him was dreadful. Better towards the end of the half but we need his link up play to be much better than that. Encouraging elsewhere on the pitch though! |

These are objectively good signings. I think we have pushed to make some brilliant signings, which haven’t all come off and that’s fine. We are ending the window by adding the finishing touches to an already strong squad. |

Piranesi is packed ready for holiday next week.... I have just finished A Month in the Country by J L Carr, and planning to ready it again straight away. A beauty of a little novel. 135 pages where on the face of it nothing much happens but the prose is fabulous and its packed full of feeling. Will transport you to an English village in the 1920s... |

Feeling a bit emotional watching the footage the Town media team are putting out, the video with the players really drives home what an impact Sam has made on this football club. It has left me reminiscing on what a brilliant relationship this has been for both parties. Across his tenure and in particular the two promotion campaigns he was immense at driving standards on and off the pitch, driving the club forward through his tenacity and dedication. It is impossible to put into statistics how much extra that gave us. His leadership qualities were critical but he was without a doubt our most important footballer across the two promotion seasons. An absolute colossus in the middle of the park, game after game in the championship I remember being amazed at how dominant he was both physically and technically. He was vital to how we wanted to play and his consistency was astounding, 8/10 every single week. Without the signing of Sam in August 2021 we would not have been playing top flight football last year. Sammy has equally profited from the relationship however and Ipswich have given him the best years of his career. At risk of becoming something of an EFL journeyman before signing for Town he has gone on to captain back to back promotions, get named PFA Fans Championship Player of the Year and reach the top flight. He now finds himself making millions of pounds in the last years of his career, setting his family up for life. This was a match made in heaven and has given all of us memories to last a life time. Thanks Skip. |

I thought it didn’t work so well in the first half, few occasions he needed to run into the space to give us an option going forward. Second half came out really positive and gave us a better outlet, one of his best halves. |

Yep, exactly the same issue. Eventually made it back on at colsterworth. Thought we were cursed to cruise the village lanes of Leicestershire for eternity. Never seen google maps get it so wrong. |

Certainly our failure to sign the right keeper has hurt us but that can happen when every signing needs to be perfect, especially the keeper. We probably should have addressed the issue in January. Another massive issue that in our last few games is our forward players, technically gifted as they are, are struggling with decision making and trying too hard to make an individual impression. Completely at odds with what got us here in the first place. It’s not over, but probability suggests we will go down. I think we stand a good chance of returning soon and hopefully can learn some lessons from this season. |

Corr yes please, watched him a few times and been really impressed with his direct running and pressing, would be great for us on the right. Still have to pinch myself when we are linked with players young players like this... |

No. The prem is littered with players who have been picked up from the championship and gone on to be good premier league players, some even great. Do not understand this view that they are the wrong players to sign. Its been a great window. The recent Burnley links are somewhat less inspiring, and does appear to be slightly more erratic. |

I’d be gobsmacked if it was as little as that, knowing what MacAnthony and Fry are like. Especially as I think Barnet have a 50% of future fee clause. Although possible posh have done the same as he will go for big bucks in the next few years. Shame as thought he would be good for us. |

Feel the same. I have just sat down on my own for the first time since yesterday and feeling quite emotional now. Like the feeling at the end of a long holiday before heading back to work, a bit of sadness that it has come to an end but wonderful memories to cherish forever. |

Almost exactly 100 miles to Portman Road, never have I looked forward to seeing the A14 more. Hope everyone has the most incredible day. |

Some of the worst defending I have ever seen in that half. Boro look very threatening and will probably score again but I think they will need to score a couple more to take anything from the game. So hard to beat Leeds in a game like this with their ability in transition. Come on BORO! |
