Is this good business? Probably. Is it still devastating? Absolutely. Will he score a worldy against us? No doubt. I'll be forever intrigued to know what KMc saw differently with Nathan. Most exciting player we've had in years for me. |

When KMc has the iPad out in the dugout he’s not doing the Wordle. He’s looking at real time game data analysis. |

Classic_blue could just watch the film Moneyball instead and imagine it was about football, if that’s easier? Using data to analyse patterns of play and player performance for insight into recruitment and tactics is a huge part of all modern sport now. |

Great to see. Recommend a book called Expected Goals by Rory Smith as further reading on how these departments work in the modern game. Decent, accessible read with some interesting history. |

Keeping your staff mentally fit and healthy, particularly in a business where consistent high performance is demanded, is certainly not 'rubbish' or 'tosh'. It's vital. |

I'm well up for more coaches, particularly Scousers. But it's surely the headlines about driving bans and threatening ex wives that are more of a question mark in this particular instance? |

Overall I would agree with your conclusions, although it seems a bit unfair not to give some love to Carlos here. He's been a consistent and loyal servant for a while now, even when most of his time here he's been played out of position. Credit where it's due. |

Also, Skuse is a class act, very important that he stays fit. We looked a lot less confident through the middle once he went off. |

Have to agree it was an odd decision to take Taylor off. He looked lively even if he hadn't had a clear cut chance. Plus it was Nouble who put that cynical shove on Barton which resulted in the goal from the freekick, so there was a direct consequence. I'm not saying alarm bells are ringing but slightly concerning after a performance that lacked any ideas going forward. |
