Firstly, I would like to point out that the two forums you referenced are some of the most depressing places you'll find for Norwich City discussions. They don't represent the majority of views from Canaries fans.

Secondly, I would like to point out that I don't have any animosity towards your club or wish for it to struggle. Obviously, I would like to us to do the double and finish higher but other than that, I would like to see you do well. It's good for the region to have 2 good footballing teams, so I'll be hoping Hurst does a good job. From my perspective, he seems more akin to a certain Paul Lambert when he joined us. Signing lower league players is no bad thing. We signed Grant Holt from Shrewsbury for £500k in 2009 when we were in League One (He was in League Two) and you all know how he's thought of around these parts. Ended up scoring 15 goals in his maiden Premier League season.

Personally, I'm cautiously optimistic about the season ahead. In spite of what the doom mongers say, our squad on paper is very strong and contains a lot of depth now. Question marks remain over Farke, but we'll wait and see what happens.
