Leicester Thrash Saints to Go Four Points Clear
at 22:49:43

Just out of interest- should we fall into play-offs, I’m assuming we wouldn’t be able to use Ahadme or Ladapo if they returned from loan before the games? (would be useful to have extra striking options, but assume they are not in our registered squad so couldn’t play?)

Leicester Thrash Saints to Go Four Points Clear

2 wins out of our last three games and I reckon we will go up. Can see Leeds getting 4 points from their last two games, rather than two wins. We do have a tough two games coming up - to be honest I think Hull will be difficult, but hopefully Coventry will still have a cup hangover. Keep the faith everyone- it has been a great season and the lads and manager have given everything.

Former Blues Boss Hurst Returns to Shrewsbury
at 22:50:08

In terms of ITFC managers (that had a decent amount of time) I would say Duncan, Jewell, Keane and Lambert are the ones that I feel failed the club. People may say Cook as well, but for me although he didn’t get the job done in the end he did massive ground work to set up a platform for KMc to work the magic. Just my opinion of course….

Just to add - imagine some will reflect on what KMc has done - but he has been able to recruit players from the leagues above - not below. Yes he is an outstanding coach and we are blessed to have him, but he probably wouldn’t have been able to achieve what he has without the financial backing.

Ultimately Paul Hirst isn’t a bad manager - he has a decent record. Why didn’t it work out at ITFC, it was simply that he tried to change too much too fast (in terms of players and style) - this particularly the case with bringing through lower league players. Let’s face it Paul Cook didn’t quite pull it off either during his time, and may have had a similar outcome had we been in the championship. One or two at that level would have been about the max for a championship side. Whilst ME would have to some degree tied his hands on the job brief, a more experienced manager at championship level would have followed a slightly more slower approach. However, it’s like all of us - you only learn through mistakes. Shame we had to experience this - but I don’t particularly hold a grudge.

Blues Linked With Moore Loan Return
at 21:58:40

We only need one KM at Ipswich and we already have him (lol). Personally I would like Sinclair from QPR and have run the rule over langstaff at Notts County (a goal machine - but could he step up).

Rotherham United 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:28:53

Let’s all remember One defeat all season - yes we didn’t get the three points today, but we can’t be perfect every week. People have been commenting on Hurst, Ladapo and Chaplin tonite - but remember how many we have scored. Our style is set up for goals all over the pitch which has been proven all season. We will concede given our elevated wing backs, so let’s just take it as a bad day at the office and move on - we are in a great position.

Ipswich Town 3-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers - Match Report
at 22:22:02

Great result - pleased to see Taylor and Hutchinson on the scoresheet again. It’s interesting that I would love to see both start as they add another dimension to the team, but equally who would you drop as everyone has been exceptional so far this season. Nice options for McKenna to have, but may be a challenge if they don’t get regular starts in 5-6 weeks down the line as I’m sure both want to be playing regularly and their motivation may begin to be tested if they are still on the bench (which is understandable).

McKenna: We Set a Good Tone For the Season
at 08:45:38

Great result - credit to the lads and manager. We looked excellent on the counter, but as expected we are liable to conceding too. Ultimately that’s the price for the style we play and probably brings back memories of the Burley era. We will certainly win more than we lose, but the challenge for us getting promoted (in the future) will be keeping the door shut when we don’t have possession - at this level you will get punished. Not sure new players at the back would change this as for example our left and right side need to be attacking minded for the style of play. I will certainly enjoy watching how we get on and it has been great to watch.

Ashton: I'm Fortunate to Have Really Smart Owners
at 10:57:46

Whilst gamechanger has been great for the club, fans need to remember that they are ultimately looking for a return on their investment. How will they do this, most likely get us to the premiership, stabilise for a season or two and then sell the club. As a pension fund the returns from football are not great, given the costs. I like all others will enjoy the ride, but the bigger challenge will be who the next owners are and hopefully gamechanger will do us right when this time comes. Until then come on you blues 😀

MacAnthony: Taylor Could Propel Town to Premier League
at 16:40:42

Maybe a reference to a striker we may be also interested in 😀 in terms of their chairman - give him some credit - Peterborough is not a big club, but they play good football and have a clear business plan - yes he makes the odd comment, but I'm pretty sure we have done that in the past when we have been trying to get the best price for our players.

Mousinho Wants to Keep Pigott at Portsmouth
at 15:42:16

Whilst acknowledging piggott had a season to prove himself - we weren't providing great service for the strikers last year. Just need to look back at an example like kifier Moore - we all assumed he wasn't up to it - but look what happened there. I also think the general criticism of ladapo follows the same line - as they used to say “feed the goat and he will score” - ladapo and piggott would both be capable if the service is spot on (not just hopeful balls into the striker or box).
