Will people please stop venting their spleen over every alleged transfer. Contracts take time to finalise (that's my job) and if it happens, it happens....no amount of whinging is going to make the slightest bit of difference! |

The more I look at our squad, the more I think we have an abundance of top players for the Championship, especially going forward. Obviously it would be great to get a very good striker in because of Hirst's injury record, but failing that Szmodics and Broadhead (possibly Chaplin) have more than enough about them to step up and do a fine job on most defences in this league. If Philogene, Clarke and Ogbene perform as they have in this league before, then we aren't going to be in bad shape at all. |

We really have some Melts on TWTD nowadays... Young at 40 is fitter than all of you plebs criticising his age, I'd like to see you moaners play 1 EPL game! I thought he was one of Everton's most consistent performers last year and the step down in class will be a benefit to ITFC. |

As long as his fitness levels are up there, and his performances are along similar lines as last season, which should be, as it's a step down in class, a 1 year deal for a player of his quality and experience is a good addition. I wish some of our so-called supporters would stop moaning, go to Carrot Road if you don't like what's happening...if you knew that much about footballers I'm sure you'd be employed by the club as a scout!! |

 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers - Match Report at 17:25:45
What an abysmal second half, Wolves deserved the win. Fortunate to be going in at HT 1 up, but nothing came from us in the second half. Back to the world’s most exciting league next season. I’d like to say the prem has been a blast, but it’s been totally friggin unenjoyable. By far and away the least enjoyable of all our premier league visits. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-3 Nottingham Forest - Half-Time at 16:15:04
I'm at a loss to understand why, with quality of attack in the Premier league, our defenders have, all season, not put a tackle in when they have an opportunity halfway up the pitch, but instead, back off and let these quality players run into our box unopposed and low and behold they score!!! I'm sorry to say KMs level is Championship, his tactics and decision making have been nothing short of dismal this season! |
 | News Comment | Crystal Palace 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 01:18:52
Fifty years I've been watching Town, through good and bad, but this season is right up there with the most un-enjoyable for me. Out of all our seasons in the Prem, the gulf in quality is insurmountable (for all 3 promoted teams), couple this with a lot of dubious signings, repetitive errors, questionable tactics and top team bias from refs and VAR, has made this season one to forget. Yesterday I decided to watch the rugby, instead of Town, as I needed a break from watching our ponderous play, in favour of some excitement. So I kept flicking channels to see the score, as the game neared its conclusion and still 0-0, the only thing I expected was a late goal for our opposition, and unfortunately I was not to be disappointed. Anyone who thinks we have what it takes to survive needs to remove those blue-tinted glasses, the only way we survive is finishing third bottom and City getting a massive points deduction. Roll on the excitement of the Championship next season! |
