This Unite the Kingdom march

We've needed PR for many years. These marginalised racists unfortunately deserve a voice in parliament where hopefully they'd be found out

I can confirm that three fifths of that old band are town fans. They've also all miraculously kept their hair (or most if it)

The Boats keep coming
at 08:08 14 Aug 2025

As was quoted earlier in the thread...

"There’s an estimated 1.7m brits aged 16-30 who have never worked, so even if only 50% of those claim the minimum benefit, that’s a cost of £4bn per year vs the £260m per 100k asylum seekers."

Your xenophobic vitriol blinds you sir. Asylum seekers are but a tiny cost to the economy but your right wing bigotry does loves to hate

Weird hive mind question... For people 45+... Who grew up in the UK...
at 07:26 25 Jul 2025

They were referred to as "huts" in Trimley in the late 80s and 90s. Having worked in schools in Essex for 20 years they're still referred to as "demountables" there

16 and 17 year olds will be able to vote in the next GE
at 12:19 17 Jul 2025

Whether or not it'll benefit any particular party, it's morally right. 16 and 17 year olds pay tax if they earn over £1048 a month so should have a say in how the country is run.

Also, hopefully by giving them the right to vote at 16 it might encourage more young people to be politically engaged.

Just need to introduce PR next!

I have 2 cats called Mick and Terry
at 06:15 23 May 2025

We had a cat when I was growing up who was born in 1981 called Arnold. My parents moved to Ipswich in 1980, my mum worked in Lloyd's on the Cornhill - I have some amazing first hand photos of the UEFA Cup celebrations that she took from upstairs at the bank

Swimmable lakes in Suffolk
at 05:43 28 Apr 2025

If you're a very wealthy individual, the moneyed types who enjoy Wilderness Reserve near Yoxford get to do supervised wild swimming in the lake there (for a fairly hefty fee)

The Crofts
at 14:23 30 Mar 2025

We used to live on the edge of the crofts, really liked it as an area. We only moved due to school catchments (ended up in IP4 to give us the option of Northgate, Copleston, Kesgrave etc)

I guess if they find a way to oust Musk, the only way is up! I guess that's easier said than done though!
