Town and Sunderland Begin Murphy Talks?
at 09:34:58

Ok he scored some vital goals for us when he first joined on loan, but he's faded massively lately and certainly not playing like a player who's being paid 20k per week! I don't even think, and never have come to think of it, that he's worth half of what he's gets paid.
He's over-rated in my opinion. If we got him on a free transfer or for a small fee with realistic wages being paid, he may be a useful addition to the squad. Like someone else has said, Stead's record isn't too disimilar and I probably prefer Stead.

Also I'd much rather Keane and Clegg focus on spending their time and efforts getting some proven young talents out there like Gary Hooper for instance, who is hungry to succeed and certainly a player for the future.
I have family in Scunthorpe and class them as my second team, and I've seen Hooper play many times and honestly believe he's exactly what we've missed this season. Hooper and Wickham up front next season sounds great, we just need someone in midfield who can create chances for our strikers next season whoever it may be. One name that will be guaranteed to start more regularly come the start of the season is Wickham.

It certainly proves to be an interesting summer! I just hope we get the right players in during pre-season who can hit the ground running come the start of the season.

Burnley Linked With Garvan Move
at 09:05:50

Garvan has been inconsistent thus far, but Keane obviously doesn't rate him that highly as he hasn't started him that many times since his arrival, preferring Trotter in the centre. Obviously that's affected Garvan's performances of late which is a real shame. Undoubtedly Garvan's got talent and on his day can run the show, however I sometimes wonder if his heart is in the game like Supple. Should he go, which seems likely, It would be a big blow with little of the way of creativity in the centre of midfield currently. Surely he's worth more than 1m and could prove a bit of a bargain at that price for a club.
I must admit, when Keane arrived I thought the one player that would really shine under Keane would be Garvan. How wrong was I!?

Quinn and Smith Could Face West Brom
at 17:36:43

I don't believe Pim will be dropped, if anything he's played far better than our esteemed club captain. Delaney has been poor, even in pre-season, and can't defend him anymore. I don't see what Keane see's in him (if anyone does please tell me or message me) I honestly would play Thatcher or if Harding was here still start him infront of Delaney. Smith and Peters would do a better job.

This is what I'd play tomorrow

GK: WRIGHT
RB: BRUCE (Excellent performance tuesday night and stood out above the rest compared to others and MOTM in my opinion)
CB: McAULEY (Needs to start performing and quick!)
CB: PIM (has been reasonably consistant thus far)
LB: D.WRIGHT/ SMITH
RM: WALTERS
CM: GARVAN (Don't understand why Keane hasn't been starting him and is one of our most gifted players on his day in my opinion)
CM: TROTTER/QUINN ( Trotter in the past 2 games he has been poor but playing along side Healy isn't helping him whatsoever. Quinn looked lively Tuesday when he came on)
LM: Martin
FC: PRISKIN (Isn't a target man and needs the ball to his feet to be effective)
FC: STEAD (Wickham likely to play against Peterborough and is only 16 years old, no need to put him under pressure to perform in a under performing side at the moment)

Priskin Having Town Medical

Also post saying that McAuley is useless....not entirely convinced by that comment. We looked far better with him playing last season than when he wasn't!

Priskin Having Town Medical
at 18:23:10

I would over the moon if we got Gio back! but I won't believe it or get carried away until I see him wearing a town shirt on the hollow turf standing next to Keane in front of the press. Priskin: I think will prove to be a good signing for us I really do, I agree with an earlier post saying he does tend to get off side too much, but technically he's a very good player and composed in front of goal. Murphy......Can't help but think he's over-rated and we could well be paying over the odds for him...but I'd love him to prove me wrong nevertheless.

Town Back in For Sunderland Striker
at 16:47:55

Don't understand why we're bothering going back in for him, he turned us down originally when he heard Hull was interested, plus he's too over-rated in my opinion. Priskin would be a far better signing and would probably cost us less and in wages

Priskin Bid Rejected
at 19:29:04

Firstly the youtube clip was titled 08-09 season so it was all last season highlights. He played in a average side last year and still managed to score a fair amount of goals. I think he's a good player who could proof to have a bright career, However, I don't want to see us being mugged off over this deal and reckon 1.5m is a fair price, 2m Is probably too much. But who else is out there and realistically willing to come here?

Agent Confirms Town Bid for Watford\'s Priskin
at 10:31:41

I'd be very happy to see Priskin come our way. I saw him play a few times last year and was very impressive in my opinion . He seems calm and composed infront of goal and scored some impressive goals last season most noticeably against Chelsea and Spurs. Reminds me slightly of Marcus Stewart!

Regarding "The Big Name Signing" I honestly don't know who we were expecting to sign, Luring supposed Big Names to the Championship must be very difficult. I still wouldn't mind seeing David Healy here.

Lisbie Rejoins Colchester On Loan
at 16:44:24

Would of preferred to have sold him! Hardly surprising he's gone. Sincerely hope Keane has a striker in mind to bring in, not that I'm implying in any way that Lisbie should be the team!

Clegg: Town Considering Tribute Ideas
at 16:33:39

6fish- we'll be playing them twice a season for the foreseeable future! But I agree with some kind of match against them would be good, I'm sure Newcastle would like that too.
I think any kind of tribute i.e; naming a stand after him would be a fantastic tribute to him at PR, but not necessarily the North Stand. I say that because Sir Alf's statue looks on to The North Stand and being on Sir Alf Way, some people I've spoken to feel it would an insult to Sir Alf?
Personally I like the idea of a "Sir Bobby Robson tournament" would be great with the teams he was successful at.....which is nearly all of them!! Ipswich, PSV, either Porto or Barcalona and Newcastle would be superb.
