Great game but…
at 17:48 31 Aug 2024

Great game but… Whichever bell/end decided to try and stick up “Ipswich / stop the boats” stickers in the North needs to have a little think about the international make up of our team and ideally dive off Felixstowe pier themselves.

I imagine their identity can be worked out pretty quickly as they took a photo of it proudly in the North, seconds before the person behind them ripped it off. Delighted to see they were shredded almost as quickly as they were spotted.

Uppa Town/Down the racists.

New podcast…
at 07:49 8 Jul 2024

For anyone who needs a new podcast to listen to whilst hitting F5 and doomscrolling Twitter for transfer updates, I know there were some fans of The Rise and Fall of Britpop here… series two has just landed and this time it’s some of the most insane stories of wibbling rivalry. On BBC Sounds: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/series/p0hpzvw1?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-
Or wherever you get your podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-rise-and-fall-of/id1755727621

Didn’t manage to sneak any Town refs in this time sadly, but there is some gold in there

Can anyone remember where an ex player recently told the story of Roy Keane and the army camp?

Welcome to … Ipswich
at 07:49 9 May 2024

Here’s a hypothetical question to kill time until Town in 97 comes out

If you were putting together a Welcome to Wrexham style Town documentary what are the must have moments since the last relegation.

Collapse of itv digital / admin / Burley is sacked

Roy Keane’s Ipswich

Mick a brush with promotion - F off

Lambert and the training ground inferno / the rise of blue action

The Americans at coming / Sheeran arrives

Running towards adversity in league one

55,000 take to the streets

What am I missing?

Dr Who...

Full disclosure, I didn't manage to sneak any Town references in this time, but if you enjoyed the Rise and Fall of Britpop, you might also like these Dr Who Documentaries, which follow a similar pattern but cramming 60 years in to 114 minutes.

New Britpop podcast
at 07:17 10 Jul 2023

Morning,
Not Town related (other than the fact that Lammo mentions attending the 78 cup final in this), but I think this new podcast will be up some of your streets.

The first four episodes of #TheRiseandFallofBritpop are live now on BBC Sounds presented by Jo Whiley and Steve Lamacq they take a warts and all look at the cultural phenomenon… there are amazing stories about everyone from Nirvana and the Manics through to Radio 1, Oasis, The NME and The Spice Girls along the way. Please download, subscribe, have a listen and if you enjoy it please spread the word 🫀

Four more episodes drop next Monday.

Morning all,

Not Town related, but given the amount of music chat on here I think it will appeal to some of you... The Rise and Fall of Britpop https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0fy6nnn
8 episodes of Britpop goodness (and badness)

I've even managed to sneak it an excellent Town clip as long as the lawyers don't make me take it out.

Subscribe / debate / share and slag off to your hearts content.

Weird def info of the day…
at 22:00 8 Jun 2023

Was walking down towards St Stephens Church this evening and I’m almost certain I was briefly stood next to Danny Cowley near The Walk. Let’s hope he popped by to watch 86TVs at Brighten the Corners and isn’t being lined up as replacement for KMac 💀

Looks like I’ve got a spare ticket for Bristol away on Tuesday thanks to a flakey mate.

Due to some extraordinary bad luck I’m not in the country for 3 of our 4 first matches. Does anyone know if you can pay for ifollow overseas on a uk based card? I seem to remember you couldn’t do that when the system first came in.
