Alas, I don't think this has anything to do with any possible takeover as we all know how long and protracted these deals take.
I wouldn't be surprised if Celtic spoke to him about the position and it was an offer he couldn't refuse. I must admit since his tenure started I never felt he was the right manager to move Ipswich forward, not that I knew who could with the limited funds and ME at the helm.
As for replacements I'd love to see someone like Eddie Howe, young, ambitious and used to working on tight budgets in the early days with Bournemouth. May be a stretch too far having had such a period of time in the premier league.
What ever happens let's hope it's not a case of “better the devil you know”.

So took my eight year old to his first Town match, wow I felt for the poor lad having to witness that display. Kenlock and Jackson were far from league one players simply not good enough for the first team. Credit to Donnys number 4 who had Norwood in his pocket all match. As for comments about Chambers I actually thought he didn't do too badly considering the recent abuse. All in all it was a pretty poor match from both teams and although still unbeaten I don't feel that the team has enough strength in depth to really push for promotion. |

Why does everyone keep harking on about Rhodes, he has moved on not only that but he is in a lower league, look at when we picked Parkin from a lower league wasn't exactly prolific was he!
I agree with most comment on here, we are starting to gel nicely and realisticly we are only 12 points from 6th place, a couple of good home wins and a continued ubeaten run will see us rise very quickly.
So lets get behind the boys and look forward COYB |
