| News Comment | Shrews Pair at Town to Complete Move at 11:09:29
I'm cautiously super excited for this season. While i believe we will be ok in the league, a part of me is concerned at the amount of lower league players we seem to be buying or linked with. I don't really follow league 1 or league 2 so have no idea what these players are like so I guess I just have to put my faith in Paul Hurst and let him do his thing. There is no doubt though that the buzz and feeling among us Town fans is really high for the first time in a long while. |
| News Comment | Hull Match in Doubt at 19:52:14
I for one think the club and the local authorities are doing the right thing by putting the public first. The council must be working round the clock dealing with the current weather conditions and if it's decided the game has to be postponed then so be it. Those that are moaning about H&S and the council can always volunteer their services to the council. I'm sure they'd appreciate the extra hands right now ;) |
| News Comment | Chambers: Norwich "Nowhere Near" Play-Off Season Level at 13:41:19
Luke chambers just stating the bloody obvious. Perhaps he should be more concerned about our own state of affairs than those of our local rivals. Like why, once again, we failed to close out a match? We are exactly where we deserve to be this season |
| News Comment | Chambers: Still in There Fighting But We Need Fans' Backing at 10:23:14
If we were putting in decent performances and not always winning, you would have the full backing of all supporters. problem is that we churn out awful football, week after week after week. The real supporters are fed up with it and have a right to be fed up. I don't personally boo the team but i can totally understand those that do. If you don't like it Luke, then turn up for matches and put a bloody performance in. In fact you're one of the worst. All you do is pass the ball sideways or hoof it up the pitch in the hope we'll get a lucky bounce. I can't believe Webster is on the bench and you're not! As for the lack of money, I agree it would be nice to have some funds to spend but many other teams without still manage to play football and put half decent or decent performances in most weeks. So stop your whinning and give us something to bloody cheer about. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Second Goal a Killer Blow at 19:47:59
clint_eastwood I thought it was just me that noticed Luke Chambers only passes sideways or hoofs it! Mentioned it to my son last week, So funny. I'm sure he's a good captain but the man has little football talent. As for today, its a good win it what could of been a potential banana skin. Since Coleman arrived at Sunderland, I've been waiting for them to hit form and spank someone. Thankfully it wasn't us. Be good to carry the win forward to next Saturday, beat Burton and have some momentum and confidence going into the derby. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Pleased With Performance, Absolutely Delighted With Result at 10:51:18
Think it's fair to say yesterday felt like a smash and grab. We barely touched the ball or strung any passes together yet still managed to score 2 and keep a clean sheet. Don't get me wrong, I'm chuffed to bits that we are scoring more freely, playing better generally and currently in with a shout of play offs. Having said that, we are still be outplayed for large chunks of many games and the better opposition will probably get the better of us as our defence is for me frail! One or two additions in January would be nice, in particular someone who will but their foot on the ball and actually look to pick out a pass instead of the hit and hope policy we've become accustomed to in recent seasons. It does gets frustrating paying £30 per game to watch the other team play football. I feel that is part of the reason many fans have stopped going. Yesterdays attendance was painfully low, I assume Christmas shopping won that battle. Our football club has to figure out a way to get those stay away fans back. Overall things have improved but there is still an awful lot more work to be done. #itfc |

I've never known so many bloody injuries in one team. Makes me wonder if the fitness and training regime needs addressing! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: We've Got to Play Better Than That at 01:00:39
Did MM actually say Wolves are a good team. They were bloody abysmal! As usual, we made a poor team look better. The second half against Brentford was awful but tonight the entire 90 minutes was fecking dire. I'm not sure what MM is trying achieve by basically playing a 7-1-2 formation at home against a team who've lost their last 6 matches and sit 21st in the league. Is this really going to encourage supporters to renew their season ticket or others supporters to come back and watch. There was a number of supporters just having random conversations with each other in the stand tonight because the game was so bloody boring! I'll only be attending two more games this season, one because its free and the other to watch Newcastle. I refuse to keep paying. I can sit at home a be bored for free! |
| News Comment | Town Face McCarthy's Former Club Wolves Looking to Turn Draws Into Wins at 20:14:33
Just hope we're better than the second half against Brentford. With Huws looking doubtful, might be good to drop Lawrence into midfield and play Mcgoldrick and Pitman up front. I imagine Pitman must be wondering how he has fallen behind to Kieffer Moore who has done nothing to impress. He seems very lightweight for a big lad! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Brentford Probably Deserved to Win at 21:35:03
Brentford weren't very very good mick, they were ok. In fact, we were probably the better team in the first half. In the second half we were bloody awful and made them look incredible. I'm assuming you told the players to sit on a point. We have nothing left to play for except professional pride but you even want to take that away. Today should have been an open entertaining game of football. Instead we were left frustrated at the lack of passion and desire to actually win in front of the home supporters. Even the substitutions were negative. Why oh why did you bring on Kieffer Moore instead of Pitman? I was really upbeat before kick off and I left demoralised. Our football club needs to have some hard conversations about its direction and ambition in the close season because many more supporters will lose their patience and stop attending. |
| News Comment | Town Sign Huws on Loan from Cardiff at 22:38:42
We are being taken for absolute mugs by our football club. I haven't heard of the last 2 LOAN signings. Why? Because they're squad players who can't get into their respective first teams. The owner and directors are showing their lack of ambition, desire, willingness and plan. On top of that we have a tactically inept and out of touch stubborn manager who refuses to do the honourable thing and quit. My heart is crying for the team I've loved for 40 years. |
| News Comment | East Anglian Derby Live on Sky at 16:27:50
Weevil, I also chuckled at the comment from 12th man. perhaps you should also check your grammar before posting a reply! :) Our season is already over so the derby will be nothing more than bragging rights. |
| News Comment | Murphy Completes Newcastle Move at 11:18:00
Who will our defence hoof the ball to now?! They may have to actually learn how to pass the ball to our midfield. Rumour has it, we have a midfield! Seriously though, thank you Murph for your professional attitude and service to our beloved club and best of luck for the future. Lets hope we can add a few quality players(Not hoofers) before the window closes. I can dream. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Delighted With Whole Team at 20:34:27
I do wonder at times what goes on in MMs head. As garv said, looked good for first 20 minutes and then just back to awful clueless football. I really thought after the Ward goal we'd push on and win comfortably but how wrong was I!? I would love to know what we do in training all week. Attacking and shooting isn't on the agenda I'm sure. We just sat back in the second half and allowed Preston to come at us for 45 minutes. We can't be this poor......can we? I love my club and have supported them for 40 years. This is a very challenging time to be a Town fan, especially when your travelling 200 miles round trip every home game. Really hope it gets better soon #itfc |
| News Comment | McCarthy: We Were Awful and Stevenage Deserved to Win at 00:36:56
Why oh why do I bother to travel 100 miles each way for that garbage?! We really didn't look bothered or up for it tonight. Is it that hard to put the effort in, I bloody do! Too many high balls to Sears in the first half which he's never gonna win. Even Mcgoldrick didn't have much impact second half. Connor Grant looks pretty good and will hopefully improve as time goes on. Knudsen got forward well tonight but sadly his crossing is as ineffective as his long throws. We just seemed to lack cutting edge tonight. I'm not sure a neutral could tell who was the championship outfit tonight. Let's hope this is a blip or I fear for the 21st!! |
