Tanner on Life's a Pitch
at 17:27:58

I do indeed remember Adam Tanner's goal on 14th January 1995. After all the times Bobby Robson's great Ipswich teams played at Anfield and never won, despite often being the better team, Ipswich finally win there in their relegation season ON MY BIRTHDAY! It was the last time I cried because of a football result - I never thought I'd ever see it happen. And then 5 seasons, newly promoted back to the top flight, later they did it again!

Taylor: Massively Disappointing Because We Did Enough to Win
at 00:30:56

Did enough to win? No we didn't. We didn't score enough goals!

Why can this team, which dominates possession for so much of most games, not score goals?

Town seem to be dominating large parts of each match but without creating or being able to convert chances.

John Cobbold’s Ace Gardener
at 14:18:02

Colin Viljoen's debut was against Portsmouth at home in March 1967, not 1966. I know because I was there. Viljoen scored a hat-trick on his debut in a 4-2 win. Colin Viljoen was indeed one of Ipswich's best ever players and Bobby Robson described him as the most skilful player at the club as late as 1978 just before the falling out and his departure. He was picked for England by Don Revie but his style did not quite fit the England set up despite his ability.

The Story Behind the Billy Kee Banner
at 23:06:20

As a lifelong Ipswich Town fan and someone with lifelong mental health issues, not diagnosed until I was 40 (I am now 60), I found this gesture by the travelling fans absolutely wonderful. It is something that everyone associated with the club should be proud of, adding to the many years of good reputation by travelling fans of Ipswich Town. Well done! - just marvellous!

That was never a penalty. And the Town shot was over the line. Should have been 1-1. Not really deserved but still.

Hyam: No Malice From Ward
at 08:53:29

It was a very poor tackle and deserved a red. Malice or not irrelevant. Ipswich Town is a club in transition and we should hope to see something completely different next season.

A nice last job for Arsene Wenger ?
