Made the fateful mistake of popping onto Facebook. We have some odd fans. Many thinking it woudl be nice to hand them the points or let them have a goal on any replay as a nice thing to do.
Are they actually aware this is a competition with significant impacts based on where you finish in the league and not a charity? I genuinely worry about some people.
Replay the game and batter them is the only right way in terms of the league position and goal difference and our challenge for promotion |

Fair point, but other clubs nearby played and one woudl hope Blackburns facilities are slightly better than Rochdale. But it is what it is and hopefully sense prevails and we go again |

Telling that clubs not too far away that also suffered lots of rain managed to continue. From what I see on their site, there has been a lack on investment in infrastructure at the club, such as this.
But they can make the case that the couple of forks they took on the pitch made a difference. Surprised they never brought the squeegee on [Post edited 22 Sep 11:24]

I listened to this too - they were both in agreement. Can't see any alternative. Whilst I have a teeny bit of sympathy for the Blackburn fans, seems as the draining of the pitch (or lack of it) is a problem they have had before due to lack of investment so limited sympathy. If the shoe was on the other foot they woudl be fighting tooth and nail to get a full replay, as we are surely doing.
We need to make sure of the three points on the re-run (Greaves winner??) as they will be up for it to prove a point |

Disagree. I think the weather played a big part in the goal on Saturday. Similarly looking back at Oxford when no one could see when they scored, that would not have been fair to keep that score. The fairest way is to replay the game from scratch and the best team win. If Blackburn are the better team they will beat us |

And I wonder what their case would be the other way round?? Given we have scored a few late goals and part fo the problem is their ground maintenance I would hope we would strongly resist for the full replay |

Don’t you know our fans need a scapegoat each week!!! Greaves is a better defender than Burgess, however much I like Burg, our fans at times have rose tinted specs and forget past mistakes. |

Agree - cannot judge us on that. The pitch was awful and completely stifled the free flowing football we like and worked for their five midfield players. We were not great because of that but they were awful also, and yet their fans seem to think they played well, which gives me huge confidence for the replay |

The weather was out of our control, their club has historical issues with drainage and ten mins plus stoppage time is huge and can make a big difference. Convinced it will be replayed |
