Man. I have really felt these losses at tournaments, to the point where I haven’t been able to even read anything about football for a couple of weeks.. At 33, it’s been heart break the whole way. As much I thought I was okay. 25 mins before kick off I felt that usual butterflies in the stomach. But this time, it was different. For so long, it has felt like England winning something has been my only sense of hope Of success. But these past two seasons have just blown away that cruel sense of desperate expectation. I’ve realised that Ipswich is the team I care about. Sometimes the question would be asked… England win the euros or Ipswich get promoted England win the World Cup or Ipswich win the fa cup etc etc. I can sit here and honestly say. The Ipswich double promotion has changed my life, I’m flying. I was a season ticket holder 1997-2006.i moved to Cambridge for uni and now I just can not get enough of this club. I can’t get enough of this town. Coming back into the town on a match day and seeing the pubs full before and after the games, we are truly living in proper good times . Anyway, it’s not fun seeing England fall again. But it’s made me realise that McKenna is a Genius and I love Ipswich. That’s it. Cya in the morning don’t be late everyone. |

Does anyone have an idea of the best pub to catch the game in Bury St Edmunds tonight. There for pre planned dinner so will get to the pub just before kick off, happy with standing. Need sound! Cheers |

I guess I am going to contradict my self a little but if 'we could all see it coming' and 'everyone knew it would be called off' why did we travel? OK. I accept that there's lots of fans that don't miss ANY games and are going to do everything right up until the last to try make sure they are there but... So many on the twitter and the gram complaining and stating that it was always going to be called off but also are on their way back from travelling up there. I'm just a little confused, I guess the post by Rotherham earlier was the turning point whereby people decided it was worth the risk as the pitch was fine? I didn't have a ticket but will more likely be able to go to the game if it's moved to a Tuesday but I really can't imagine deciding to set off in this weather We are hardcore away fans aren't we?
