Anyone done their Mod1 motorbike test?
at 13:03 19 Jun 2018

Passed about twenty years ago but the U turn was the part I worried about more than anything. I managed it - but by balance and not momentum- even the instructor commented his surprise that I made it.
Key is actually to look at where you are going and not at the bike or at the road. Just practice by looking at the point on the other side of the road- your target. It's actually quite surprising when it works but it does!!
Good luck- and keep shiny side up.

Saturday-what now?
at 19:41 11 Feb 2018

Think we all agree Saturday was as poor as it gets. Something has to change if we are to avoid a future of same old same old. Einstein's theory of insanity comes to mind- doing the same thing over and over again- but expecting different results.
I have always liked Mick as a decent bloke who I think I would actually like to work for but have to ask - just what is the aim here?- and is it reasonable to expect him to make silk purses from the market he is in.
So, on Saturday- what would you have done differently? Who would you have played? and what would have made any difference to that game?
Short of wholesale change, investment and owners who want to plough multi millions in- just what could Mick have done on Saturday? Have seen lots of comments and the chants at the game- so go on then- What is the answer? He reportedly put on a master class in selection to beat Sunderland last week and wasn't many moans about that after the game when it apparently worked. The same man of the match (Grant Ward) went missing yesterday - how would you have dealt with that? I don't have the answer because if I was any good at knowing what is wrong and how to fix it I wouldn't be getting on the train tomorrow on the commute to London but would be a highly successful football manager.
If Mick goes there will be a huge line of managers applying for the job under any financial constraints- am not under any illusions that it is not an attractive job- we will be inundated by applications like every other club always is.
Just a bit of navel gazing- I wish I knew how to fix it- but haven't seen any other bright ideas on here either.

Excellent performance today- didn't lose one header against Wood -keeping a 23 goal striker quiet is not easy-and what a bit of skill from Didzy in second half- left four Leeds players for dead-almost worth coming along to see on its own!

Harry Redknapp on Frank Lampard

I think it suited all parties for him to go- it's just he is probably what we need now- but don't think many people would have seen his emergence into the player he is now.
Delaney and Macaulay didn't exactly ride off into the wilderness either.
