Simple explanation - of all the clubs in the EFL we are the only one without a Community Trust. In other news Colchester have just signed five boys from our academy who were not released but made the decision as a matter of convenience because a bus hired by Town to transport boys to Portman Road has been scrapped and there are parents out there who cannot afford to chauffeur their boys from Colchester to Ipswich every week and during school holidays.
It is just another cutback by the owner and he’s not done yet. |

It’s very good but in our current state we need more than a rebrand. If only it were that easy.
When the current badge was adopted the club actually considered changing its name to Ipswich United. It was put forward as a new idea by the new guy, whose name escapes me, but the board voted against it. Clive was his first name and he was the promotions manager or similar. |

Cheers for that Mullet. Can’t quite believe what I’m reading. Submitting that for publication should have earned Pickover nothing but the sack. Imagine if one of his staff had travelled to and from London to meet Evans, sat and interviewed him, and then returned to write a pile of poo that didn’t include a single quote. I’m told one of the Star writers came up with a terrific piece to take the you-know-what and posted it on here. Now I’d love to read that if possible. |
